NFL’s Bad Bunny had Fans Running

NFL and NBC lost viewers for about 30 minutes on Big Game Sunday as fans ditched network TV for TPUSA’s All-American Halftime Show online.

The NFL and NBC lost a whole lot of viewers for about a half hour during their “Big Game” Sunday. They were running from Bad Bunny broadcast on network television to watch TPUSA’s “All American Halftime Show” streaming on the Internet. We did a little research before and during the show and here are some stats and facts that we assume to be accurate and true.

  • Prior to the game experts predicted 127 million viewers would watch Big Game 60 with 100 of them being in America and the rest abroad.
  • Levi’s Stadium holds 68,500 who would have seen the Big Game live.
  • There was a threat of people leaving their seats en masse during the halftime show as a boycott but we have not been able to determine that happened.
  • Spanish speaking people loved the Bad Bunny halftime show.
  • White liberals on the left tried to make the TPUSA halftime show, “racist”.
  • There is no way we will ever know how many people muted their television sets.
  • The commercial ads during the game were seemed to be some of the best ever.

If awards are given for commercials aired during the game, I would give it to Budweiser!

This is what we observed on YouTube during the halftime shows on YouTube.

TPUSA All American Halftime Show

  • 4.9 Million – TPUSA Channel
  • 900 Thousand – Charlie Kirk Channel
  • 150 Thousand – The Office Tatum

(All other streaming channels less than 50,000.)

NFL Halftime Show with Bad Bunny

  • 50 Thousand – Revive Music
  • 12 Thousand – Maico Julha
  • 10 thousand – CNBC

(All other streaming channels less than 5,000.)

Now I know some are going to be critical saying more people were watching Bad Bunny on television rather than the internet. That is probably true but that begs some questions like; “How many people muted their televisions?” Also, “Why would people stream Bad Bunny on the internet at all?”

The majority of conservatives felt like conservative podcaster Benny Johnson felt, happiness mixed with shocked disbelief.

(Happy the NFL was sent a message and disbelief it involved so many millions!)

CONCLUSION:

I know people who are acquaintances with players and coaches in the NFL. I have had friends and relatives in the television industry. Both work much the same as any other capitalist industry such as the beer industry. Remember the Bud Light debacle of several years ago? I can promise you Bad Bunny will be the NFL’s debacle this year.

Advertisers are now feeling deceived. Next year, for Big Game 61, they won’t be as willing to spend as much for 30 and 60 second ad spots and they won’t be so quick to sign advertising contracts until after the halftime show scheduled performers are released.

In all honesty, this was an un-American sh!t show and whoever is responsible should be fired for it the same as the Bud Light marketing director was after her Dylan Mulvaney disaster. If I were a Big Game advertiser this year, I would be extremely gun shy next year. Product boycotts happen all too easily these days as both Bud Light and Cracker Barrel found out in the last 2 years.

President Donald Trump recently called Minnesota Governor Tim Walz retarded. It was less funny to the right or an insult to the left as it was just simply the truth. As President Trump later responded:

REPORTER: “You called Tim Walz retarded. Do you stand by your claim?”

PRESIDENT TRUMP: “Yeah. There’s something wrong with him. Absolutely. You have a problem with it?”

So assuming the leadership of the NFL sincerely thought Bad Bunny was a good selection for the Big Game halftime entertainment this year we will assume they are also retarded and offer instructions accordingly.

For Future Halftime Entertainment for the NFL:

  1. Make sure they can perform in English.
  2. Make sure they have never burned an American flag on stage before.
  3. Make sure they have never engaged in crossdressing.
  4. Make sure they are pro-America.
  5. Make sure they leave their politics outside the stadium.
  6. Make sure they leave their sexual preferences outside the stadium.
  7. Make sure they hold wholesome American family values.
  8. Make sure they are entertaining.
  9. Make sure they are well known.
  10. Screen their performance before going live.

I hope the NFL succeeds in the future. I once mowed the lawn for Chicago Bears owner George (Papa Bear) Halas, Jr. and I shook George senior’s hand, a father of the NFL, and I want that to continue to be a day to remember.

As a Christian conservative optimist, I believe every cloud has a silver lining. Kid Rock offered me a silver lining last night in the new verse he added to an old song:

I remember the day when Kid Rock made a video of him turning one of his assault rifles on a case of Bud Light as a combined expression of both his First and Second Amendment rights. I am loving Kid Rock more and more…

And this may not be the last we hear about Bad Bunny if this is true:

As I always say, it is always about the math so the bottom line is this:

Anticipated Big Game viewership = 127 million

Anticipated Puppy Bowl viewership = 13 million

Actual TPUSA Viewership = 6 million

That means 14% of the NFL audience was drawn away from the NFL halftime show, diminishing the value of their brand for next year.
