It's a Crime What the Left Is Doing to the West

A critical analysis of left-wing policies impacting crime and society in the West.

When I was a wee lad, conservatives used to argue that liberals were "soft on crime," and there was a lot of truth to the accusation. 

Liberals believed that criminals were victims of society and needed to be coddled to get them on the right track. If you lived through the 1970s, you were treated to movies that reflected society's increasing rejection of that line of thought, from the Dirty Harry series to the even darker Charles Bronson Death Wish.

Well, those were the good ol' days compared to today, when "defund the police" is the moderate position for the left, and total decarceration or celebration of criminals is becoming a norm for the left. 

Some elected officials are even venturing into the "crime is good" camp, which is a kissing cousin to the "riots are First Amendment activity" simps. 

Rep Pinto (D-St. Paul): "Yesterday, there was a presentation from a group seeking to change how we address organized retail theft... It would have been good to make sure that they would study the benefit of shoplifting and of retail theft because perhaps people are relying on that and sort of using that, and maybe it's assisting them in some way. These folks were describing people violating the law, but I suppose it could be useful to look into that."

A while back I created a bookmark folder simply titled "crime," in which I save posts focused on the growing partnership between criminals—often violent criminals—and Democrat and other lefty elected officials, often in Britain. It is filled with stories of rapists let off, dangerous felons with long criminal records being released without punishment, and even judges who seem intent on inflicting maximum pain on society. 

We aren't talking about liberal bleeding hearts anymore. What we are seeing is closer to anarcho-tyranny being implemented in the West. 

For those of you unfamiliar with the term, anarcho-tyranny is a strategy for destabilizing a society by enabling criminals and repressing ordinary citizens (censorship, anyone?), destroying social trust with the goal of creating a new regime. The Marxists used this tactic to cow citizens. 

Fairfax County seems to be one place where the strategy is being fully implemented, which is kinda bizarre given its rather prosperous population. The prosecutor there keeps releasing violent criminals into the community despite the obvious fact that people are getting killed by criminals he keeps letting go.

Virginians, outside federal and state government employees, are not loony lefties, but the government employees seem to have a stranglehold on power, and are willing to live with violent criminals just to "own Trump," it seems. 

It's not one-off cases; it is a pattern that, once you see it, is impossible to unsee. 

County Supervisor Pat Herrity points out that this is far from the only incident where Fairfax County policies have led to illegal immigrants with criminal histories being let loose into the community.

Last December, Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano dropped a murder charge against an MS-13 gang member who then allegedly murdered a man in Reston days later. And before that, Descano repeatedly dropped charges against an illegal immigrant who then went on to allegedly rape a woman on the W&OD Trail in Herndon.

Governor Spanberger is unwilling to help the federal government deport murderers who Descano keeps letting out, and Virginia Democrats seem to be proud of how tolerant they are and how they are willing to stand up to fascists who want...not to be killed by madmen. 

The problem is acute in Deep Blue areas, where it's not just prosecutors who are endorsing criminality. 

Leftist jury nullification is very real, and it’s going to destroy the last semblance of public trust in the social compact. This is happening in blue jurisdictions nationwide.

If we can no longer trust juries to convict a gang member who executed a man in front of his children, we cease to have a constitutional means to persevere public order. 

Trust in the jury system is nothing less than the cornerstone of civil society, and the left is eagerly destroying it through identity politics and oppression theology. 

Once it’s gone, things will get very brutal very fast.

This sort of thing is happening here in the US, and to an even greater extent in the UK, where the criminal justice system is entirely based on who commits the crime. If you are black or Muslim, it's all good. If you are white and complain, prepare for jail.

The Starmer government is trying to eliminate trial by jury, to put power into the hands of British judges who have become notoriously lefty. It is now common for illegal immigrant child rapists to get light to no sentences while white Britons go to jail or get on government blacklists for complaining about Muslim crime.

A war is being conducted by members of the governing class against its own citizens, and too few lefties seem to care. They watch cities like Chicago, Portland, Seattle, and Los Angeles become crime-ridden, decaying cities, and seemingly shrug. And they keep electing the people who are doing this. 

Is it any wonder that liberals are obsessed with gun control? It's not that they want guns off the streets; it's that they want only criminals to have guns. 

I refuse to believe that all liberals are in on this strategy; in fact, I believe most of them buy the BS that crime can be reduced if we treat criminals more nicely. 

But, even though they may not be in on the strategy, they are complicit. They keep electing these anarcho-tyrannists, and deserve to be held accountable for what they have created.
