Worry About Islamism, Not 'Islamophobia'

A critical perspective on Islamism and the debate over Islamophobia in New York City.

I don't know how many politicians tweeted out messages yesterday lecturing about "Islamophobia," but at least in New York, it was all the usual suspects.

March 15th is, apparently, the International Day to Combat Islamophobia, and thus, we were treated to politicians virtue signaling about how much they love our Muslim neighbors.

Today, on International Day to Combat Islamophobia, we stand with Muslim New Yorkers and reaffirm our commitment to confronting Islamophobic hate in all its forms.
New York’s strength comes from its diversity.

Our city must be a place where Muslim communities can live, worship, and thrive with dignity, safety, and a true sense of belonging.

Now I admit that it would be wrong to assume that every Muslim is a hateful terrorist, but I am also not stupid enough to believe that Muslims in America, as a group, are as benign an immigrant group as the Irish, the Japanese, the Cuban, or the Canadians who are fleeing oppression in the Great White North.

So far, in the past two weeks, we have suffered through four Islamist terrorist attacks, and far more lectures from Muslim extremists about how they want "Death to America."

Muslims, as individuals, may be perfectly good neighbors and productive members of society, but when they congregate in any significant numbers they prove to be poisonous additions to our society.

That's not exactly a secret. Literally everybody knows it, not just from occasional terrorist attacks, but from Muslims themselves. It's not like they make a secret of hating us and wanting to replace our civil law with Sharia law.

Muslims are not reacting to some massive plot to oppress them in the United States. After 9/11, Muslim immigration skyrocketed, and Muslims were welcomed into America and the West at unprecedented rates.

Our leaders wanted to prove that Islam is a "religion of peace," and the result has been rape gangs, ISIS recruitment, and Imams laughing at us about our naivety.

The Mayor of New York's wife has proven time and again her disgust with Jews, and the reaction from the elite has been a shrug and a claim that she is a "private citizen."

The entire left-wing establishment has embraced Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iranian regime, and is currently rooting for America to lose a war against Iran. They shrug when Islamists cry "Death to Jews," but cry "racism" when people object, calling us "Islamophobic."

Westerners are committing civilizational suicide for no other reason than a determination to prove that we are not hateful people.

Muslims exude hatred and contempt for a civilization that insanely welcomed them in, and when anybody has the moral courage to stand up and tell the truth, we are attacked with a ferocity that comes from an elite who are afraid of the very people they are defending.

It is not a phobia to avoid people determined to kill you. After the terrorist attack in New York City, a liberal bragged that he was unafraid and walked right up to an IED to prove how tolerant and inclusive he was. "I am not afraid of IEDs!"

That is suicidal. Luckily, the bomb didn't go off.

New York City residents are now waking up to the sounds of the Islamic call to prayer, and the Mayor is holding parties for Muslim "influencers" who despise New Yorkers.

Where are the calls for Muslims to be loyal Americans? Catholics were singled out by the Biden administration as potential terrorists because they oppose alphabet ideology and abortion, but people shouting "Death to America" are warmly embraced.

I'm tired of all this. It is insane. Yet here we are.
