It may be too much to ask for, but the funniest thing to happen would be for all the socialist and communist simps who have begun their aid "flotilla" trip to Cuba to arrive just after the regime falls. 

Because that regime will fall, one way or another. Whether it is through an explicit regime change, with the communists being kicked out, or by a nonviolent Maduro-like replacement of the top leadership with people who will do business the way Trump wants them to.

Both John and I have written about Cuba in recent days, and each of us has made fun of the fact that Greta Thunberg—yes, THAT Greta Thunberg—is demanding that convoys of oil tankers be sent to Cuba to help turn the lights back on.

Ironic, isn't it? The Cuban regime still burns oil to keep the lights on. It's a waste of good oil, actually, not that they have any these days.

The Nuestra América Convoy, as the puffed-up commies like to call their symbolic jaunt with a pitiful amount of "aid" to Cuba, is accumulating the barnacles of leftists who always glue themselves to evil causes. You have all the Best™ leftists involved.

The convoy will feature all your favorite leftists, with the greatest hits from the past, such as Jeremy Corbyn, and the communists of the future, including indoctrinated kids. 

The US is suffocating the Cuban people with its criminal and inhumane blockade.

Obviously, these people understand that they are engaged in performance, not the genuine provision of aid. It's not even clear that Cuba could get the lights back on even if the oil started flowing again because the system is so creaky after decades of communism.

It's enough to make you wish for an early hurricane to hit, but that would be wrong. No need to inflict unnecessary suffering on people simply because it would be funny to see all these crazy commies floating in lifeboats as their "aid" sinks into the Caribbean.

Perhaps, instead, we could convince Cuba to give these people political asylum? They all love communism so much and admire the way that Cuba has created literacy and great medical care for its people. If the US is such a hellhole, they should enjoy the benefits of communism.

These people are fools, of course, but not benign for being so. They have a lot of sway with the younger folks, who somehow have become convinced of two opposite things at once: that communism is far superior to capitalism, and that communist countries need to trade with capitalist countries to survive. 

Communist countries are poor only because the US won't trade with them, the bastards!
