On Saturday, Elon Musk offered to pay TSA wages so that people could start receiving a paycheck while Congress plays games in the shutdown. This makes Democrats look like the meanest a**h**** ever.

This is incredibly generous.

TSA agents across the country are relying on food pantries and community donations just to get by.

I remain the lone Dem to vote with my Republican colleagues to fully fund DHS and get people paid.

Meanwhile, democrats in Congress continue collecting their salaries on time; they never have to wonder how they’ll cover rent or groceries if a paycheck doesn’t arrive, and they never stand in the same TSA lines as everyone else.

Now offering to pay ~$200 million for TSA workers

It’s not likely Elon’s offer will stop the Democrats from being morons, because they believe this whole thing gives them “leverage.” But offering to pay TSA wages could be a gamechanger.
