Gavin Newsom's California: Elderly Jewelry Store Owner Suffers Stroke As Store Smashed by a Dozen Looters

Elderly jewelry store owner suffers a stroke during a violent robbery in California.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker: “There is no emergency in Chicago.” This as dozens are shot in the Windy City every single weekend.

Golden State Gov. Gavin Newsom: “California is getting safer.” Tell that to the residents of Encino, where two American Idol execs were brutally murdered in their homes by a known psycho, or in Oakland, San Francisco, or Los Angeles.

Left-Wing Outlet Axios: The problem isn’t crime, it’s letting people know about it. "The video (of Zarutska's murder) is easily shared or leaked, and can instantly pollinate across social media,” they wrote. “A visual counterpoint to statistics showing crime decreases."

This is what Democrat politicians and the corrupt media are selling: that crime is not a pressing issue, but talking about it is. Tell that to this guy:

Here’s what went down in Gavin Newsom’s “decreasing crime” state of California Lawlessness:

An 88-year-old jewelry shop owner is recovering after being shoved to the ground by one of the suspects who raided his store in a smash-and-grab robbery caught on camera.

The heist took place just after 2 p.m. Friday at Kim Hung Jewelry in San Jose, California, local KTVU reported. Surveillance video from the scene showed a group of suspects backing an SUV into the store's glass windows before more than a dozen of them, dressed in clothes hiding their appearance, rushed in.

While most of the suspects could be seen grabbing items from display cases, one pushed over the store owner who was trying to stop them from taking merchandise.

As some of the group left the shop, one could be seen pointing a gun at another employee who was standing near a wall. Another suspect then appeared to check the employee's pockets.

If this doesn't outrage you, I don't know what will.

Believe it or not, Smash N Grabs are a common occurrence in the City of Angels (and across Newsom's state). Just the other day, I shared in these pages how I went to a mall in the tony area of Sherman Oaks for lunch, only to read the next day that a group of sledgehammer-wielding dudes came in and smashed up a store not long afterward.

The shop owner in this story suffered a stroke, according to his family, as well as cuts from broken glass, forcing him to spend the night in the hospital. He has been released in stable condition.

There were the usual expressions of outrage from local officials, but everyone knows that the one-party Democrat leaders in Sacramento will continue to do nothing as they have for years.

"If this was your family member, if this was your business that you spent your whole lifetime to build up, and then within one hour you’re out of business," San Jose City Councilmember Bien Doan said during a Coalition for Community Engagement news conference, KTVU reported.

"We no longer accept the norm. We ask for change," he said.

Well, don't bother asking Newsom or the entrenched progressive class in the state's capital for "change." Donald Trump and his team seem to be the only leaders who truly want to end the cycle of violent disaster that Democrat policies have brought to so many of our formerly great cities.

Until then, this will continue to be the norm.

Editor's Note: The days of lawlessness in our nation's cities need to end. President Trump and his team are trying to make that happen.
