YIKES! ABC 'Journalist' Waxes Poetic About How Loving Tyler Robinson Was

Commentary on media portrayal of Tyler Robinson and the complexities of the case.

The whitewashing of Tyler Robinson begins.

I suppose it was bound to happen. Since the attempts to make Robinson out to be a MAGA Republican or an extremist Groyper have had limited success, some in the media are going the Luigi Mangione direction and doing their best to make him sound appealing.

Yikes!

DISGUSTING: ABC’s Matt Gutman says he’s not sure “if we have seen an alleged murder with such specific text messages” that were “very touching, in a way, that I think many of us didn’t expect — a very intimate portrait into this relationship between the suspect’s roommate and the suspect himself, with him repeatedly calling his roommate, who is transitioning, calling him ‘my love.’ And ‘I want to protect you, my love.’”

“So, it was this duality of someone who the attorney said not only jeopardized the life of Charlie Kirk and the crowd, but was doing it in front of children, which is one of the aggravating circumstances of this case. And then, on the other hand, he was, you know, speaking so lovingly about his partner. So a very interesting and, as Pierre said, riveting press conference.” ...

ABC’s Matt Gutman doubled down, ten minutes later after this on ABC News Live: “It’s heartbreaking on so many levels, Kyra. Obviously, Charlie Kirk was murdered brutally in front of a crowd of thousands...[O]n the other hand, there is this duality of a very a portrait of a very human person, a very human experience from this entire family...the kid who had got a 34 out of 36 on the ACT, who had a 4.0...I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a press conference in which we’ve read text messages that are A, so fulsome, so robust, so apparently, allegedly self-incriminating and yet, on the other hand, so touching — right — with the suspect reaching out to his roommate, who was allegedly his boyfriend, who we understand, you know, identified as male at birth, now identifies as female. And the terminology he used, he was trying to protect him. He kept calling him ‘my love.’ ‘My reason for doing this is to protect you,’ you know, but also asking him to delete the messages and not speak to law enforcement. So there’s this, this heartbreaking duality that we’re seeing very tragically playing out here.”

Who thinks like this? Answer: journalists, apparently, and by extension ABC/Disney.

Tyler Robinson, to be clear, plotted out a cold-blooded assassination, chatted about it in private conversations online with Antifa and Trans activists, joked about it afterward, but it turns out that he was also intelligent and loved his boyfriend, so that's nice.

The Unabomber was intelligent, and Hitler loved dogs. Touching. Luigi Mangione is dreamy, too.

One's initial impulse is to scream, "What is WRONG with you people?" But unfortunately, we all pretty much know what is wrong with them. Their minds are warped by living in a bubble where hate is a Republican phenomenon, and every act or celebration of violence from the left is the Republicans' fault.

If only we didn't exist, all would be well.

There is also, as I have often discussed, an inherently violent strain on the left. People from all walks of life and ideologies can be violent, of course. Human beings are fallen by nature, and anger is hardly a phenomenon exclusive to the left. Crazy people get attracted to ideologies to explain their unhappiness, including right-wing ideology.

The violent strain on the left, though, is inherent to the ideology and especially attractive to the violent crazies. The modern left has its origins in the French Revolution, from which the term "left" derives. Despite the use of the term "liberal," leftism is inherently illiberal--it is the rejection of politics as we understand it and demands the elimination of the oppressor. The goal of leftists is the destruction of the prevailing order, which is why they attack it structurally instead of arguing for reforms they believe will improve things.

Most liberals aren't leftists in this sense, although many mistake leftists as allies who go too far and indulge them. People who believe in democratic politics and just want more social insurance are not "leftists" in the real sense of the term. We can argue with them about issues, while the left simply wants to wipe us away.

Most younger journalists are leftists. You see this in the newsroom revolts, the willingness to perpetrate hoaxes, the eagerness to promote Hamas propaganda, and the portrayal of people like Luigi Mangione and Tyler Robinson that Matt Gutman is selling us.

Remember this, also from ABC? Jimmy Kimmel is longing for the death of others:

And Kimmel, too, is now changing the narrative on Robinson, with a twist. He insists that Robinson is MAGA. He needs the new memo about how lovely the guy really is.

ABC/Disney. Cultural icons.

I have to say it again, and you can say it with me:

NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU HATE THE MEDIA, IT IS NOT NEARLY ENOUGH.

Bonus round--CNN is still pushing the "we don't know why Robinson killed Charlie" meme.

It's all to muddy the waters.
