Muslim liberals lash out at MSNBC after they cancel Mehdi Hasan's show

MSNBC cancelled Mehdi Hasan's show‚ and many liberal Muslims are accusing the company of racism on social media. Hasan has a weekend program and show on the Peacock network‚ but sources say the progressive network is demoting him to on-camera analyst and fill-in host. A source at MSNBC told the New York Post that he was partly fired because his views were out of the mainstream. The development spurred some Muslim liberals to lash out at MSNBC and accuse it of racism against Muslims. "MSNBC canceled Mehdi Hasan's show. Because‚ of course‚ they did. It's not just because he treats Muslims as real human beings‚ it's also because he actually challenges his guests‚" tweeted YouTube commentator Cenk Uygur‚ who identifies as a cultural Muslim. — (@) "And that is the biggest heresy in mainstream media. Access must be protected!" he added. "The fact that @MSNBC canceled Mehdi Hasan's show while the absolutely horrible Andrea Mitchell is still employed there is proof that they are not listening to their audience‚" said Muslim liberal activist Majid Padellan. "While MSNBC still retains some journalists whose work I still trust and admire‚ this decision stinks of politics‚ and I'm disgusted by it. Sorry to see him go‚" he added. Other liberals also berated MSNBC for the decision. "Look what's happening: the few mainstream voices who challenge Israel's mass slaughter of Gaza are under attack‚" responded a gay YouTube commentator. "Mehdi Hasan is the best‚ most adversarial journalist on any US cable news network‚ so naturally‚ MSNBC cancels his show‚" replied activist Emma Vigeland. Others on the right derided Hasan for appearing to be sympathetic to the terrorist cause of Hamas against Israel. "MSNBC decided it had enough pro-Hamas television shows and didn't need one from Mehdi Hassan‚" responded radio host Erick Erickson. In April‚ Hasan was accused of plagiarism over remarkably similar passages found in his writing that appeared to be lifted from other sources. He also faced criticism from the Council on American-Islamic Relations after he scolded Muslims who were opposed to explicit sexual imagery in public school books celebrating the LGBTQ agenda. Joni Ernst says Rand Paul saved her from choking during a Republican lunch by using the Heimlich maneuver

Republican Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa confirmed Thursday that Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky used the Heimlich maneuver to save her from choking at a Republican luncheon. Ernst posted about the incident on her social media account where she used the occasion to mock Democrats. "Can’t help but choke on the woke policies Dems are forcing down our throats. Thanks‚ Dr. @RandPaul!" she wrote. Ironically‚ she had choked on food from Iowa as the Republicans were practicing a tradition where one senator brings food traditionally from their state. “It was Iowa day‚ lots of big pork chops and beef sandwiches‚” said Republican Senate Minority Whip John Thune of South Dakota‚ who added that he had not seen Paul perform the maneuver on his colleague. Others said they were thankful that Paul‚ who is an eye doctor‚ had been there to help Ernst. “It’s a good thing he did. God bless Rand Paul. I never thought I’d say that‚" joked Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina. “It was great that Rand was there‚" replied Republican Sen. Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming. Lummis went on to say that the two senators stood up and spoke to the group about the importance of being trained to help people who are choking. “We talked about how you can get Heimlich training here‚ and other people talked about incidents that they’ve been involved in where someone required the Heimlich‚” Lummis added.Ernst is 53 years old and in her second term at the U.S. Senate. She is not the first senator to have needed help from a colleague over choking. In 2018‚ Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia used the Heimlich maneuver to help his colleague Clare McCaskill‚ who was a senator representing Missouri at the time. He broke one of her ribs during that incident. Asked if he will call for a ceasefire‚ Sen. Marco Rubio informs activist that he wants the 'vicious animals' of Hamas destroyed

When asked by an activist whether he will press for a ceasefire in Gaza‚ Sen. Marco Rubio indicated that he wants Israel to "destroy every element of Hamas they can get their hands on‚" describing the terrorists as "vicious animals who did horrifying crimes." When asked about civilians being killed‚ Rubio said that he blames Hamas‚ which "should stop hiding behind civilians‚ putting civilians in the way."CODEPINK co-fouder Medea Benjamin‚ who appears to have been the activist asking Rubio questions in the video‚ shared footage of the exchange‚ tweeting‚ "We encountered Senator Rubio today. He wants Israel to keep bombing Gaza until 'they destroy every element of Hamas.' He doesn't get it: Bombing creates MORE resistance. There will never be peace in Israel until there is justice for Palestinians." — (@) GOP Rep. Chip Roy of Texas praised Rubio for making the comments: "Serious kudos to @marcorubio for unabashedly speaking the truth here. #BlameHamas."Rubio espoused the same view last month shortly after Hamas terrorists perpetrated unspeakable atrocities in Israel. "Hamas exists for one reason alone‚ to wipe out the Jewish state of Israel. So Israel has only one option in response to yesterday's barbaric attack‚ the permanent elimination of Hamas. Anyone demanding Israel not 'escalate' or calling for a 'cease-fire' is either out of touch with this unfortunate reality or sympathizes with Hamas‚" Rubio tweeted in October."There can be no cease-fire‚ negotiated solution or peaceful coexistence with depraved barbarians who murder teen-aged girls‚children &; the elderly and then dump them in the streets of Gaza so bloodthirsty crowds can desecrate their bodies? Hamas must be eradicated &; Israel must respond DISPROPORTIONATELY to this &; to any futures attacks from any enemy‚" he wrote last month.Like Blaze News?
