MAGA Republicans are ‘showing up in November’: Tom Emmer

House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) said MAGA is not backing down in the midterm elections just because President Donald Trump isn’t on the ballot. He’s heard people say, “‘There is no enthusiasm out there, and without Trump on the ballot, those Trump voters aren’t going to show up,’ well, take a look at a Harris poll done within the last two weeks,” Emmer said on Fox News’s Saturday in America on Saturday.  The HarrisX Poll, which was conducted within the United States July 9-10 among 1,019 registered voters, found that Trump/MAGA Republicans were the most likely to say they’re “definitely going to vote” in the 2026 congressional midterm elections on Nov. 3, at 75%. Meanwhile, 70% of “traditional Republicans” gave the same response, and 63% of Democrats. “It’s very interesting here in July because usually in a non-presidential year, you got an enthusiasm gap. Guess what? The highest number was for MAGA Republicans, those are the Trump voters. Eight to nine out of 10 say they are showing up in November,” Emmer said.  MAINE DEMOCRATS NOMINATE TROY JACKSON TO REPLACE GRAHAM PLATNER AND TAKE ON SUSAN COLLINS Voter enthusiasm ahead of an election is often considered an early sign of potential turnout. “We’ve been told for two years that they’re not going to show up — and they are,” Emmer said.
