Be careful what you wish for—or dream about. Netflix has just released a first teaser for In Your Dreams, an animated feature about two siblings who go venturing off into the world of dreams in search of a Sandman who grants wishes. But dreams, of course, have their natural counterpart: nightmares.
This synopsis kinda had me at “zombie breakfast foods,” to be honest:
In Your Dreams is a comedy adventure about Stevie and her brother Elliot who journey into the absurd landscape of their own dreams. If the siblings can withstand a snarky stuffed giraffe, zombie breakfast foods, and the queen of nightmares, the Sandman will grant them their ultimate dream come true…the perfect family.
Jolie Hoang-Rappaport voices Stevie; Elias Janssen is Elliot. The movie also stars the voices of Craig Robinson (as Elliot’s beloved stuffed giraffe, Baloney Tony), Cristin Milioti as the kids’ mom, Simu Liu as their dad, Gia Carides as Nightmara, Omid Djalili as the Sandman, SungWon Cho as Chad, and Zachary Noah Piser as Joon Bae.
In Your Dreams is written and directed by Alex Woo (Go! Go! Cory Carson) and Erik Benson (one of the writers of The Good Dinosaur). It’s on Netflix November 14th.[end-mark]
