DNI Tulsi Gabbard Gives New Intelligence Report On Iran Nuclear Facilities

DNI Tulsi Gabbard is pushing back against the New York Times and CNN reports claiming the strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities by the United States didn’t do as much damage as President Trump claims. In a post on X, Gabbard stated she has received new intelligence that the nuclear facilities at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan were destroyed. She then noted that it would take Iran years to build back its program, which is in contrast to CNN’s report that the strikes only delayed the Iranians by months. Take a look: New intelligence confirms what @POTUS has stated numerous times: Iran’s nuclear facilities have been destroyed. If the Iranians chose to rebuild, they would have to rebuild all three facilities (Natanz, Fordow, Esfahan) entirely, which would likely take years to do. If the Iranians chose to rebuild, they would have to rebuild all three facilities (Natanz, Fordow, Esfahan) entirely, which would likely take years to do. The propaganda media has deployed their usual tactic: selectively release portions of illegally leaked classified intelligence assessments (intentionally leaving out the fact that the assessment was written with “low confidence”) to try to undermine President Trump’s decisive leadership and the brave servicemen and women who flawlessly executed a truly historic mission to keep the American people safe and secure. Fox News added these details: Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Wednesday pushed back forcefully against what she called the “propaganda media,” accusing them of selectively leaking classified material in an attempt to undercut President Donald Trump’s handling of the high-stakes Iran strikes. In a post from her official X account, Gabbard confirmed that “new intelligence” has verified the destruction of Iran’s key nuclear sites at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan in last weekend’s bombing campaign. “If the Iranians chose to rebuild, they would have to rebuild all three facilities… entirely,” she wrote. “Which would likely take years to do.” She also criticized recent press reports relying on leaked intelligence assessments that downplayed the scale of the damage. “The propaganda media has deployed their usual tactic: selectively release portions of illegally leaked classified intelligence assessments (intentionally leaving out the fact that the assessment was written with ‘low confidence’) to try to undermine President Trump’s decisive leadership,” Gabbard said. The former Democratic congresswoman from Hawaii, now serving as Trump’s DNI, has become a key public voice defending the administration’s national security posture during the growing Israel-Iran conflict. In recent weeks, the media has attempted to get Trump and Gabbard to feud with one another. It all started a week ago when CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins asked Trump, “Tulsi Gabbard testified in March that the intelligence community said Iran wasn’t building a nuclear weapon.” Trump responded, “I don’t care what she said.” Watch here: COLLINS: “Tulsi Gabbard testified in March that the intelligence community said Iran wasn’t building a nuclear weapon.” TRUMP: “I don’t care what she said. I think they were very close to having one.”pic.twitter.com/Bbuu2YEhy5 — Chief Nerd (@TheChiefNerd) June 17, 2025 However, Collins left out that Gabbard did note that Iran had an abnormal amount of nuclear materials that could be used for a nuclear weapon. Take a look: The dishonest media is intentionally taking my testimony out of context and spreading fake news as a way to manufacture division. America has intelligence that Iran is at the point that it can produce a nuclear weapon within weeks to months, if they decide to finalize the… pic.twitter.com/mYxjpJY2ud — DNI Tulsi Gabbard (@DNIGabbard) June 20, 2025 AP had more details on the misunderstanding: President Donald Trump said Friday that his director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, was “wrong” when she previously said that the U.S. believed Iran wasn’t building a nuclear weapon, and he suggested that it would be “very hard to stop” Israel’s strikes on Iran in order to negotiate a possible ceasefire. Trump has recently taken a more aggressive public stance toward Tehran as he’s sought more time to weigh whether to attack Iran by striking its well-defended Fordo uranium enrichment facility. Buried under a mountain, the facility is believed to be out of the reach of all but America’s “bunker-buster” bombs. After landing in New Jersey for an evening fundraiser for his super political action committee, Trump was asked about Gabbard’s comments to Congress in March that U.S. spy agencies believed that Iran wasn’t working on nuclear warheads. The president responded, “Well then, my intelligence community is wrong. Who in the intelligence community said that?” Informed that it had been Gabbard, Trump said, “She’s wrong.” In a subsequent post on X, Gabbard said her testimony was taken out of context “as a way to manufacture division.”
