Grieving Dog Mom Gets The Most Beautiful “Sign” From Her Late Pup

When animal lovers lose one of their fur children, it can be devastating. Jordyn Smith’s dog, Maizy, lived from November 10, 2012, until November 18, 2024. Maizy was diagnosed with cancer, giving Jordyn some warning, but it’s never enough time. After losing Maizy, Jordyn asked for a sign that her late dog was okay across the Rainbow Bridge. She got her sign very clearly from the first painting she saw at an art show. That painting was titled, The Starry Night – Maisy at Rest – 2023 by Artist Mark A. Zanowski. The upper two-thirds of the painting is a replica of Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night. The bottom third features an image of a dog lying on its right side under the open window, legs outstretched. The dog is painted in coordinating colors and blends into the nighttime scene. Images from TikTok. As animal parents, we like to believe that our fur kids transition over the Rainbow Bridge peacefully. We picture them frolicking in sun-drenched fields, carefree and joyful, as they wait for us to join them. When Jordyn asked for a sign from her late dog, it could not have been more clear. Her fans were sure too and asked if she bought the painting. She replied that the price was too much at that moment, but that she was saving up for it. A few comments later, Jordyn received the second sign that her Maizy was looking out for her. A user named Cass asked if she could buy the painting for Jordyn. Image from TikTok. Jordyn is now displaying the picture in her home, courtesy of an internet stranger who has become a friend. Image from TikTok. This was such a generous gift, Cass. @jordynsmith701 She’s hereeee #fyp #maizy ♬ original sound – Jordyn Please share. You can find the source of this story’s featured image here.
