The studio is ready, with the mats in rows on the floor. Class participants selected a mat and sat to await the beginning of class. When the class was ready to start, the surprise was sprung. A wild pack of corgi puppy cuteness entered the yoga studio and joined in.
They created total and complete pandemonium as they wrestled, rolled around on one another, and stopped for random pets. Needless to say, the effectiveness of the yoga class suffered significantly. Any exercise advantages disappeared almost immediately. However, the laughter and fun of watching these carefree puppies prance around on the yoga mats was a great stress reliever.

Animals have been used in yoga classes for a while. Goat yoga is always a fun activity, even if you don’t accomplish much yoga. The baby goats tend to practice their parkour moves on random people around the room. In a perfect world, the baby goats receive guidance from “trainers to interact with students in specific poses.” However, the world is not perfect. Some studios offer cat, puppy, goat, and bunny yoga sessions.
Puppy yoga can take on a life of its own. Depending on the size and energy level of the animals, each session can present different challenges. One sure result is that there will be laughter, and with those laughs, participants will feel the release of stress that yoga alone can’t provide.
