Nature Is Truly Magical: Tiny Deer Fawn Frolics Through A Creek

Many urban people have seen a picture of a deer fawn in a book, but few have had the privilege of seeing one in real life. Sarah recently had the experience, and she recorded it to share. While driving near Colettesville in Caldwell County, North Carolina, a deer and a tiny fawn were playing in shallow water. The fawn was frolicking around and having the time of its life. @saritriago blessed to have seen this beauty on our drive so in love #northcarolina #collettesvillenc #deer ♬ Pretty Little Baby – Connie Francis Seeing nature up close is always a magical moment. Animals are protective of their young, so we should feel privileged when they allow us to get close enough to “share.” In rural areas, sightings are more frequent, but they are often guarded. This deer and her fawn are playful and show no signs of fear or apprehension. Golden retrievers are famous for making friends with just about every animal. It should come as no surprise that they often bring little fawn friends home. One family thought their dog had found a turtle until the fawn stood up. This fawn’s mom was nearby. The two animals played and napped together, and at one point, it seemed like the fawn was trying to nurse from Sadie. The fawn’s mom eventually returned to reclaim her. G-Bro and Buttons have a unique relationship. Eleven years ago, Buttons was hit by a car and injured. G-Bro’s human family cared for the young deer and her fawns. G-Bro became the doting uncle and helped during Button’s recovery. Since then, Buttons has always brought her fawns around to meet her best friend. Seeing nature up close is magical. If encountering wild deer, please respect them and use caution. Please share. You can find the source of this story’s featured image here.
