As soon as they saw the Empire State Building turn orange for Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl, Swifties went wild in the comment section. “Welcome to New York, TS12! We’ve been waiting for you,” one wrote. Of course, there were lots of jokes. “You’re the tallest swiftie I know. Love that about you,” a fan wrote. “Even the Empire State is swiftie,” another laughed. A few fans dropped some Taylor lyrics. “Couldn’t have imagined something better.. even in our wildest dreams,” one wrote. Others pointed out just how insane Taylor Swift’s influence is and that The Life of a Showgirl changed the city’s skyline. “Bruh ain’t many people in the world that have the enough power and influence to just call up Mr. Empire and say hey can you turn the top of your building orange?” A comment reads. We love this comment because it’s so true. “It’s Taylor’s world and we are just living in it.” This story’s featured image is by Craig T Fruchtman/Getty Images.
