No, somehow these two have time to make more Addams Family productions. They recently told Deadline’s Crew Call podcast that they’re working on an entirely separate, animated Addams Family film with Amazon MGM Studios. Gough said: “We’re working on it with Amazon MGM and with Kevin Miserocchi who runs the Addams Foundation, he knew Charles Addams and the keeper of the Addams flame, and with Gail Berman and John Glickman. We’re rebooting the animated film franchise. So it won’t have anything to do with the two films before it, nor is it connected with this show. It will be a brand new Addams feature. There’s not really much we can say about it, because it’s in the very early stages.” It’s fun to imagine what Morticia Addams would say about the word “franchise,” isn’t it? I think it is. Clearly, there’s an audience for Gough and Millar’s “The-CW-After-Dark” style of Addamsing, so it’s hardly a surprise that they’re going to keep working a formula that, well, works.
