Biden Judge Orders RELEASE of ‘Teens’ Arrested for Attack on Ex-DOGE Employee, AKA ‘Big Balls’
An associate judge within the DC court district — appointed by Joe Biden, of course — has ordered the release of two suspects in the bloody attack against Edward Coristine.
Coristine, AKA ‘Big Balls’, was one of the original DOGE team members at the heart of President Trump’s push to gut federal agencies of corruption and waste.
The two suspects, both teenagers, were rounded up in the aftermath of that high-profile attack in DC and are facing serious charges in the assault and attempted car-jacking incident.
They had both been held in a juvenile detention facility — the Youth Services Center — since their arrest.
But the judge’s ruling has apparently been carried out with both suspects having been released sometime today, as is now being reported by the local NBC affiliate:
Two teenagers charged in the carjacking in which a former DOGE staffer was assaulted have been released from juvenile custody. https://t.co/S1vCanu9zn

While the two haven’t technically been set free, the jail-like environment of the youth detention facility is nothing like their new conditions.
In fact, Judge Kendra Briggs is actually sending one of the two HOME — to be supervised by his mother.
The other has been sent to a ‘youth shelter house’, according to the New York Post:
The pair of teenagers charged in an attempted carjacking that left a former DOGE staffer bloodied were released from a youth holding facility and into the custody of their caretakers on a strict curfew.
The 15-year-old boy and girl from Maryland were arrested by police after an attempted unarmed carjacking in Washington, DC, that DOGE whiz Edward Coristine, better known as “Big Balls,” tried to stop before he was beaten to a pulp on Aug. 3.
The teens were both held at the Youth Services Center until their hearing Thursday, where Judge Kendra Briggs, appointed by President Joe Biden, decided to release them — for now.
The girl will be sent to a youth shelter house and the boy will be released into his mother’s care on the caveat that they both adhere to a 24-hour curfew, electronic monitoring and refrain from contacting one another, among other restrictions.
They should only be moving between “school and home, that’s it,” Briggs said. If they are involved in any violence after their release, Briggs promised to schedule an emergency hearing to reconsider her decision.
The girl, Briggs noted, has “major truancy issues” and was even missing from home for a few months at one point. At the youth shelter, where electronics are banned, she will be drug-tested weekly.
The boy will be sent to his home because the shelter house is unreasonably far away from his school, Briggs said, noting that she “didn’t want to put hardship” on his family.
Adhering to longstanding tradition among Democrat-appointed judges, Briggs seems extremely concerned about the possible ‘hardship’ that might be endured by these suspects and their families.
Correct me if I’m wrong — but isn’t ‘HARDSHIP’ the essence of correcting these sort of criminal tendencies once an individual reaches the point of VIOLENT CRIMES like assault and car-jacking?
With the heightened pressure being put on district court judges as a result of President Trump’s aggressive anti-crime and immigration agenda…
The question is begging to be asked: is this a politically motivated and/or racially motivated slap against President Trump?
The answer to that question is up to interpretation.
But for contrast against Judge Briggs’ handling of these violent crime suspects compared to President Trump’s take on how these things should be handled…
Check out this clip from the Fox 5 News, the local Fox affiliate out of DC, highlighting President Trump’s earlier comments about what HE thinks should happen in the aftermath of the attack on ‘Big Balls’:
The President’s statements also leave very little room to doubt that the attack on Edward Coristine was one of the pivotal events leading to President Trump taking drastic action in DC against crime.
He soon after quickly federalized the DC police force, and activated the DC National Guard under his direct command, just as he promised to do if things didn’t change fast.
Meanwhile, a Biden-era judge involved in the case is primarily focused on reducing the ‘hardship’ on the two suspects and their families.
It’s almost unbelievable, except we’ve seen it happen time and time again.
And the Metropolitan Police Department is still scrambling to hunt down the other 8 individuals estimated to have been involved in the attack, as reported by Newsweek:
The Metropolitan Police Department said on August 7 that multiple suspects in the incident remained at large.
Images released by police show a male looking at the camera with his arms crossed and a face mask covering his chin. The department said it was “seeking the community’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in an attempted unarmed carjacking that occurred in Northwest.”
The department said the case is under investigation by MPD’s Carjacking Taskforce, which comprises MPD detectives and agents of the FBI Washington Field Office.
Trump said Coristine—now employed by the Social Security Administration—was “beaten mercilessly” during the alleged carjacking attack.
“Local ‘youths’ and gang members, some only 14, 15, and 16-years-old, are randomly attacking, mugging, maiming, and shooting innocent Citizens, at the same time knowing that they will be almost immediately released. They are not afraid of Law Enforcement because they know nothing ever happens to them, but it’s going to happen now!” Trump said.
“If D.C. doesn’t get its act together, and quickly, we will have no choice but to take Federal control of the City, and run this City how it should be run, and put criminals on notice that they’re not going to get away with it anymore. Perhaps it should have been done a long time ago,” the president added. (Emphasis added.)
Here’s the image released by the Metropolitan PD of one of the key individuals they are still trying to track down as a “person of interest” in the attack:
Isn’t it amazing how some suspects can be tracked with almost NO INFORMATION to start with…
And some suspects — with multiple clear images of their face available to law enforcement — seem to disappear without a trace?
While researching this story, I realized a bit of info about the attack that had never been highlighted before; at least not that I have seen.
Check out this excerpt from the MPD’s press release about the suspect in the images above.
Apparently, an MPD vehicle on patrol just happened to chance upon the attack as it was happening!
Here’s that excerpt from the MPD website with a description of the events:
The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in an attempted unarmed carjacking that occurred in Northwest.
On Sunday, August 3, 2025, at approximately 3:00 a.m., the suspects approached the victims, who were standing next to their vehicle, in the 1400 block of Swann Street, Northwest. The suspects demanded the victim’s vehicle and then assaulted one of the victims. During the assault, an MPD cruiser pulled into the block causing the suspects to flee. Two of the suspects were apprehended by the on-scene officers. One of the victims was treated on scene by DC Fire and EMS for injuries sustained in the assault. (Emphasis added.)
If there was ever a case-in-point-argument that completely proves President Trump’s case that an INCREASE IN LAW ENFORCEMENT PRESENCE is needed in DC — that’s it!
It is very possible if that police cruiser hadn’t just happened to roll down the road while the attack was ongoing…
We might be talking about Edward ‘Big Balls’ Coristine in the past tense!
Hopefully, as the current presidential term progresses, we’ll have the chance to report on the morally-compromised judges that keep trying to THWART any progress President Trump makes… IN THE PAST TENSE.
Until then, you can expect district court judges to continue to be soft on crime, and soft on the criminals committing those crimes.
And particularly those judges of the Democrat persuasion who have the likes of Joe Biden to thank for their position on the court bench.
