Cracker Barrel Just Made Another Major Announcement—And Fans Are Thrilled

We have a Cracker Barrel logo update. And this time, it’s good news. As part of the restaurant’s “All the More” campaign with country singer Jordan Davis, the company has been working to modernize its look. Earlier this year, it began renovations that erased the eclectic aesthetics fans loved and left the walls bare and white, which caused an outcry. Then last week, it debuted a new logo, and fans were furious. The updated logo removed the “Old Timer” illustration of Uncle Herschel sitting beside a barrel, and only a simple orange background with the words “Cracker Barrel” remained. People were already upset about the renovations, and this was the final straw. Cracker Barrel Is Ditching The New Logo And Bringing Back The “Old Timer” After going viral for all the wrong reasons, the company announced that it heard fans’ cries—and it listened. Uncle Herschel is back. “We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel,” the company shared on Facebook on August 26th. “We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away, and our “Old Timer” will remain.” “At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been – and always will be – about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family. As a proud American institution, our 70,000 hardworking employees look forward to welcoming you to our table soon,” the post concluded. The company hasn’t backtracked on any of its other changes, nor has it hinted that it would. But in an August 25th statement, it said it was working to remain relevant with younger generations, which is why it was rebranding.
