Mom Starts List Of Things To Teach Her Daughter About Adulthood & The Internet Has Suggestions
Crowdsourcing is a quick way for people to gather opinions on almost any topic. People frequently request advice, funny anecdotes, funny pet names, or even the best dad jokes. Parenting advice is another popular category. Kids don’t come with an instruction manual, and they don’t offer Mom Lessons as adult enrichment courses, so asking other parents is a natural way to learn.
When TikTok user Saradactyl85 discovered that her 14-year-old was drinking energy drinks, she began wondering what other things she needed to talk to her daughter about. It was time for some serious mom lessons. Sara asked for help on her social media page, and people answered. One of the most concise answers came from a former Resident Assistant in a college dorm.

One of the first comments is gold: “Tell the cops NOTHING, tell the paramedics EVERYTHING!” The discussion comments under that mom lesson number in the hundreds to back up this vital point. Another comment added: “The FIRST time u hear the voice in your mind saying LEAVE NOW, LISTEN TO IT.” Listening to the intuitive voice might keep you from meeting that cop or needing those paramedics.
There were plenty of routine lessons and tips, such as “An oil change is not an optional thing.” Several people discussed various household items, including water shut-off valves, breaker boxes, and GFI circuits. Others warned not to put aluminum foil or forks in the microwave.

One of the most useful tips was to scream “MOM!” if attacked, rather than hollering for help. Nobody wants an angry mama bear charging at them. When the chips are down, every woman is a mom. Kids should never be afraid to call them.
