Costco Officially Rolls Out “Executive Member Shopping Hours”
Costco’s newest perk for Executive members officially goes into effect this week, which means shorter shopping hours for lower-level membership holders.
On September 2nd, the big box chain began enforcing its new hours for Executive shoppers. Those holding the membership will now have private access to stores between 9 AM and 10 AM on weekdays and Sundays. On Saturdays, they will have the special privilege from 9 AM to 9:30 AM.
Costco’s optical centers, pharmacies, food courts, and other “ancillary departments” will follow the same hours. However, the pharmacies will remain closed on Sundays for all shoppers.
While the hours technically went into effect earlier this summer at some locations, it wasn’t until now that all stores strictly enforced it.
The Executive tier is the most expensive, with members paying $130 a year. Other perks include 2% back on qualified purchases, discounts on pet insurance, life insurance, the Costco Auto Program, and PODS, and more.
Gold Star and Business members, who pay $65 a year, will have access to stores beginning at 10 AM on weekdays and Sundays and 9:30 AM on Saturdays.
