“Oil Money” Singer, Graham Barham, Teases New Song With Tyler Hubbard, & The Comments Are BRUTAL
Feels like we are back in the thick of 2012 bro country… but somehow, worse?
Earlier this year, “country artist” Graham Barham went viral for his song “Oil Money,” which he noted was inspired by Landman. But I think we can all collectively agree this is far from what Billy Bob Thornton’s character, Tommy Norris, would listen to.
However, given Landman‘s virality, Barham tapped into the moment to promote his song. For weeks, “Oil Money” went viral on TikTok, partially due to the viral ring girl from Jake Paul and Mike Tyson’s fight, Sydney Thomas, who starred in the promotional clips.

How he managed to book her still baffles me, and looking back on these clips, I also feel bad for Thomas because she seems so uncomfortable. After being a ring girl in one of the biggest fights of last year, and then drawing Sydney Sweeney comparisons, you resort to this? C’mon sis…
I digress…
While the song is catchy, in the worst kind of way, it didn’t take long for social media to start hating on it. A catchy rap-style beat can only take you so far, because let’s state the facts… “she’s got a body like oil money” truly makes no sense.
Since that viral moment, Barham has been on a roll of pushing more rap beats with a country flair to his listeners, and it’s honestly all hot garbage.
Most recently, Barham has been teasing a song titled “Whiskey Rain” featuring Tyler Hubbard.
Many of the clips teasing the rap song with a twang feature some odd Matrix-type backgrounds with Graham in a long black leather jacket with western accents. Not really sure how The Matrix correlates to the lyrics of wanting to drink away the pain of a past lover, but I’m going to chalk that up to a creative difference.

And another one just for s**ts and giggles:
@grahambarham 48 HOURS UNTIL “WHISKEY RAIN” WHO’S READY?! @Tyler Hubbard #newmusic #unreleased #countrymusic #tylerhubbard #grahambarham ♬ Whiskey Rain Graham Barham – countryrebel
As with most songs that Graham Barham teases, these are terrible rap song with a some country flair in the lyrics, singing about cliche country tropes… heartache and pain, girls, whiskey, trucks… he checks all the buzzwords.
However, with Tyler Hubbard appearing on “Whiskey Rain,” this tune puts you in a time machine and spits you right back out to the height of FGL’s sound from 2012 with their hit song “Cruise.” This song embodies the classic bro country feel, only much, much worse.
Like “Oil Money,” it took virtually no time for the comments to fill up with hate for this song, begging Graham Barham to stop making music like this. Hilariously, many users compared Tyler Hubbard’s appearance to the burglar, Marv, from Home Alone. When I first looked at pictures to compare the two, I nearly spit out my drink because it’s so spot on… a brutal comparison to say the least.
And there was plenty more where that came from in the comments:
“When did Tyler Hubbard turn 64 years old?…… rough.”
“Tyler is looking so old, and it’s kinda sad.”
“Frank Gallagher.”
“Hubbard’s starting to look like Danny Trejo.”
“Wow, Tyler aged thirty years.”
“Thought that was Marv from ‘Home Alone.'”
Overall, fans are not ready for the release of “Whiskey Rain” and are begging Graham Barham to stop pushing his “country music” down our throats.
Check out some of my favorite comments while you’re here; some of them are brutal.
“All this music sounds the same, same, same, same, same.”
“This is not tough.”
“Close enough, welcome back, Florida Georgia Line.”
“Since when did Quinn Ewers start making music?”
“My fault for having ears.”
“Why do all of his songs sound the same?”
“I’m gonna lie. Sounds fire.”
“Backstreet Boys.”
“My ears are in pain pain pain pain pain.”
“There’s no way anyone willingly listens to this s**t.”
“Is this an SNL skit?”
SNL skit is pretty spot on too… OOF.The post “Oil Money” Singer, Graham Barham, Teases New Song With Tyler Hubbard, & The Comments Are BRUTAL first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
