Country Singer, Spencer Hatcher, Breaks Silence On Future A Month After His Mother Was Tragically Murdered

Spencer Hatcher sharing a message with his fans about a month after his mother was tragically murdered. Holly Hatcher was the mother of up-and-coming country singer Spencer Hatcher, a bluegrass-inspired country artist who dropped his latest single “When She Calls Me Cowboy” earlier this year. An investigation is still ongoing after the mother of the country music singer was killed during a brutal home invasion in Virginia this past August. Though authorities are still searching for a motive in the attack, no charges will be filed, since the suspect was shot and killed in an act of self-defense. According to police, 41-year old Kevin Moses Walker broke into the Hatcher home on August 3 and fatally stabbed Holly Hatcher before being shot by her husband, Michael Hatcher. Authorities have been somewhat puzzled by the incident, and one former FBI agent even tried to piece everything together last month, implying that the killer made “specific actions” leading up the event. Spencer Hatcher posted a message the day after his mother was murdered, but had gone silent on social media for just over a month. That is until this past week, when he sat in a rocking chair and filmed a video message for all of his fans and followers. He expressed his gratitude for all of the support that has come during the hard time, and updated fans about future plans: “Spencer here. I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all the love and support that you all have shown me and my family over the last month. In what has really been the worst time of our life, you all sent so many loving comments and messages and made posts and everything. We did our best to read them, but I just want you all to know how appreciative we are and I am of you all.” Hatcher then went on to speak about what his mother would want him to do moving forward. The country music artist detailed how his mom was his biggest fan and supporter, and that it would undoubtedly be hard to move on in his career without here. However, Spencer knows that his mother would want him to keep going, continue playing music, and to stay steadfast in chasing his dream: “You know my mom was my biggest fan, and my biggest supporter in everything that I did. But she was also … she loved the music, everything about it. She loved the music. She loved the shows. And after a lot of thought and prayer and speaking to my label about continuing, you know, I one-hundred percent made the decision that I want to continue making music and bringing smiles to people’s faces and being out on the stage and everything. But I’m doing it a lot because I know that is what my mom would want me to do.  She would want me to keep on, and I know how much she loved it, and I know how much y’all love it. So, I’m not going to quit. I’m going to keep on. I’m going to go as hard as I possibly can like I always have, and I want you all to come along on this journey with me. As I get back into it, you know, I’m going to be posting a bunch more. I just appreciate you all and all that you have done for me and will continue to do for me.” The 28-year-old explained that he originally had a busy touring schedule laid out before everything happened, and was supposed to embark on a radio tour. Those all obviously took a backseat in recent weeks, but Spencer Hatcher says he’ll now resume all that was planned: “I’m real excited for it. You know, like I said, I know that my mom was real excited about all the opportunities, and all the music, and I hope that you all are just as excited about it as she was. So, again, thank you all so much for everything. Thank you for your support in the future, and I hope that one day we can all be together where I can thank you personally. I love y’all. God bless.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Spencer Hatcher (@spencerhatcherofficial) The post Country Singer, Spencer Hatcher, Breaks Silence On Future A Month After His Mother Was Tragically Murdered first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
