Investigators say Tristan Anderson boasted about his plans to his roommate on Snapchat, displaying the materials he planned to use. Anderson allegedly posted anti-Semitic messages about an “Israel Deep State” before targeting Catholic Governor Kelly Ayotte with threats. His social media included violent posts, like threatening to “kill” New Hampshire committee members he believed misrepresented residents. His roommate reported to police that Anderson owned guns and showed her fireworks, metal tubes, and bags of nuts and bolts, which he allegedly planned to use to make pipe bombs. Yes, he’s another 22-year-old white male. Fortunately, he wasn’t smart enough to carry out his plans or even to keep his mouth shut about them, which ultimately led to him being caught before he could do any harm. Fox News has more details: A 22-year-old New Hampshire man is facing felony charges after police say he threatened to kill Gov. Kelly Ayotte using a “weapon of mass destruction” and invoking antisemitic and anti-government rhetoric in a series of disturbing online messages, court records show. Tristan Alexander Anderson of Merrimack County was arrested Aug. 28 after Pembroke police received a report that Anderson had made threats against Ayotte, a Republican, via Snapchat. Anderson’s roommate shared the messages with her ex-boyfriend, who contacted police, according to a probable cause statement. In one of the messages, Anderson wrote, “I’m going to target the NH Mayor Kelly ayott. With my weapon of mass destruction,” according to the document. Per CBS News: Anderson was allegedly messaging with a woman on Snapchat and said “I’m going to target the NH Mayor Kelly ayott… With my weapon of mass destruction.” Anderson allegedly made antisemitic remarks in the messages as well. The woman told police that Anderson owned guns, and that he had made mention of making pipe bombs. Anderson allegedly had shown the woman metal tubes he was using to make the bombs as well as nuts and bolts he was going to put in them, police said. Police said Anderson had allegedly bought fireworks and taken them apart to create the pipe bombs. Anderson was arrested August 28. He remains in custody without bail pending his next court appearance. The next scheduled hearing in the case is a dispositional conference on November 20. Ayotte, a Republican who was previously a senator in New Hampshire, defeated Democrat Joyce Craig in the race for governor last November. Anderson was arrested before the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk last week, but his arrest has only just now made the news.
