WATCH: Jimmy Fallon Actually Being FUNNY About Trump
I sure do miss when Late Night TV hosts were actually funny…
Like Letterman back in his prime, before he went all woke publicly.
Back when the most important thing was just being funny, not pushing a narrative.
And part of just being funny means nothing is off limits.
Joking about the President has been a hallmark of Late Night TV going back to Carson, but it was always done because the JOKE was the thing that mattered at the end of the day. Something actually funny.
After Leno and Letterman left Late Night, that all shifted.
The joke became secondary, and pushing a political ideology was primary.
And that’s when comedy died.
Like this painful moment:

CRINGE!
Heck, sometimes it wasn’t even pushing an ideology, it was blatantly pushing propaganda…
Remember this?

It should have been immediately obvious at this point that any semblance of a Comedy Show had died and it was now pure propaganda.
But now let’s advance the narrative, because I am seeing a glimmer of hope that comedy is returning.
Of the three (Kimmel, Colbert and Fallon), Jimmy Fallon has always been lightyears funnier and more talented than the other two.
He’s also always been much less political than the other two.
Don’t forget it was Fallon who had Donald Trump on in 2016 and humanized him by asking if he could rub his hair!
That was a key moment in that race, and Fallon handled it well — much to the chagrin of his Far-Left fans.
But now we go to Jimmy Fallon last night reacting to ABC pulling Jimmy Kimmel and of course he makes a few comments about Kimmel being a good man and very funny (he is neither of those things), but then he moves on to say he’s going to cover President Trump’s trip to the UK just like he always would with no censorship….and then the bit that followed actually made me laugh out loud.
THIS is actually funny folks!
No one is saying you can’t joke about President Trump — we’re just saying be funny when you do!
Heck, even Charlie Kirk thought it was funny when South Park did their episode on him.
We have to have a sense of humor about these things and admit when they’re funny — it’s just that they haven’t been very funny for a very long time.
So I am happy to admit when they finally are.
No one wants President Trump to be off limits, we simply want the blatant LIES and blatant propaganda masquerading (badly) as comedy to stop.
See the difference?
Ok, now enjoy this actually funny bit:
Jimmy Fallon reacts to ABC suspending Jimmy Kimmel’s show:
