Do animals have the ability to appreciate art? This questions is one that a number of scientists have sought to answer. Some studies indicate that they are capable of having preferences, particularly when the art is food-based. In fact, some sparrows have shown a potential preference for certain art styles over others. Ultimately, we still can’t say for sure… but the reaction these pet frogs have to art certainly makes us believe they can! Trace doesn’t display just any piece of art for her pet frogs… she makes them herself. These pieces are made to be frog sized, of course, and they hang just outside of their terrarium.
