Cat Does Hilarious Pantomime Performance When Dinner Is Running Late
Cats can be super dramatic. Mariah Davis’ cat is no exception to that norm. Dinner time is at six, and by 6:04 PM, this silly cat is pretending to eat dinner. Jett is very convincing with her pantomime as she takes a gentle bite and chews earnestly. You can almost believe that the air has substance.

While this cat is pretending to eat a non-existent dinner, Mariah’s other cat has quirky behaviors, too. When the bird flu interrupted raw cat food supplies, her Siamese cat, Jackson, went on a hunger strike. He refused to eat any food because he wanted his special raw food diet. He is actively trying to bury this “peasant food.”

Mariah adopted Jackson when her mom passed away. She hadn’t planned on owning a cat, but there he was, and she couldn’t say no. Now she credits the cat with saving her. However, Jackson was lonely, so Mariah adopted a kitten for him and named her Jett. It was slow-going at first, but now the two animals are best friends and inseparable.
When you live with two cats, life can be unpredictable. If you add in a semi-spoiled goldendoodle named Fergus, it can get spicy. The dog occasionally joins Jackson, indulging in a three-day hunger strike. Then he decides to bark at his cat brothers for no reason. Not a day goes by without some silly animal antics happening.
Mariah is a cosmetologist with a passion for reading. By her reckoning, books are cheaper than therapy, so it’s all good. With the ups and downs in her life, Jackson, Jett, and Fergus are the constants that keep Mariah grounded. You can follow her on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok for more.
