Aaron Watson Says He Heard From Other Artists At Born & Raised Fest That Zach Bryan Was Acting Like “A Total Drunk Tool” Before Gavin Adcock Altercation

Backing up Gavin’s side of the story. I’m sure by now everybody’s familiar with the altercation between Zach Bryan and Gavin Adcock at Born & Raised Festival in Oklahoma last month. Long story short, the whole thing started when Gavin called Zach out after the “Something In The Orange” singer aggressively responded to a 14-year-old girl on TikTok a while back, who complained that he didn’t stop and meet with fans in New York, telling her to “GOMD” (which stands for “get off my d—“). Then Gavin sat down for another interview with Rolling Stone and basically said that he didn’t think that Zach was a very good guy. The beef came to a head at Born & Raised Fest, where Zach wasn’t on the lineup but joined Gabriella Rose during her opening set, and even hijacked the duet to call Gavin out from the stage… He then allegedly saw Gavin through a fence as he was leaving and stopped to confront him, hopping over the fence before he was grabbed by security, and no punches were thrown. And today, Gavin appeared on the Dumb Blonde podcast with Bunnie XO where he went into more detail about how it all went down, explaining that Zach was backstage the whole time but didn’t choose to confront Gavin until there was a fence between them: “He just paced around the inside of the festival all day, drunk as hell, throwing up in trash cans, going up to other artists treating them like s***, their crew s***, and just asking ‘Where’s Gavin?’ When I got to the festival that morning, they said, ‘Hey, Zach‘s coming today, he’s probably gonna try to start some s*** to get you to not go onstage, so just be aware of that. And my crew is smart enough to go, ‘Yeah, he’s gonna try to pull some s***, so you don’t get to play this show for 10,000 people 30 minutes away from his house.’ So I had that on my mind all day, and when he pulled up on the other side of the fence, I was just chilling out there. He started coming after me, so I was like, let’s see how mad I can make this guy.” Well the answer was apparently mad enough to jump a barbed wire fence… And while a lot of people online may not like Gavin Adcock, and may dismiss his side of the story as simply part of his beef with a bigger artist, another country star has come forward and seemingly confirmed what Gavin said about how Zach was acting at the festival. Texas country superstar Aaron Watson took to social media after Zach commented on one of his TikTok posts with a message to the singer, revealing that he had heard from some of his fellow artists who were performing at the festival that Zach was indeed making a scene backstage: “I had some artist buddies at that festival that you played with Gavin. They said you acted like a total drunk tool all day long.” And he also took Zach to task (rightfully so) for disrupting Gabriella Rose’s set to make it about himself: And when you got on stage with that young female artist, you could have made it all about her and her art. It could have been her moment. But yet all you kept doing is talking about your beef with Gavin Adcock. By the way, everyone says you could have settled it with him backstage. But yet you waited right before his show. When there was a barbed wire fence and a bunch of security guards between the both of you.” He ended it with some advice for Zach Bryan: “Dude, you just sold your songs for $350 million. You just broke George Strait’s attendance record. That’s awesome. So stop acting like the poster boy for Summer’s Eve.” Sounds like pretty good advice.
