I can’t believe the Democrats walked right into this one and then backed themselves so far into a corner they can’t get out! I think it’s very possible President Trump figures out how to cover and pay for essential services (like air traffic control) and then runs this shutdown for 6 months or longer, and after 6 months go by and no one has missed anything then start asking the question: Why did we need any of these programs and people in the first place? Of course the obvious answer is we don’t.  We don’t need them at all.
