Chris Stapleton Forced To Cancel Multiple ‘All-American Road Show’ Tour Dates Due To Illness

Chris Stapleton has been placed on vocal rest due to an illness, and it’s affecting his All-American Road Show Tour. The Kentucky native and country music icon has been on a roll in 2025. Earlier this year, he was out on tour opening for George Strait in addition to headlining duties of his own with some full-band shows. Stapleton also received three nominations at the 59th Annual CMA Awards in Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Music Video of the Year for “Think I’m In Love With You.” Oh, and the country singer was named Male Artist of the Year at the 60th Annual ACM Awards, which was his fifth time taking home that award. It’s been one heck of a 2025 for Chris Stapleton, and I’d say that nothing can slow him down… but that’d be bad timing if I did. Because the 47-year-old just announced on social media that he’s battling a bad case of bronchitis, and that the illness has also come with a doctor’s order to go on vocal rest. The bad news? The timing of the vocal rest order is going to mess up some All-American Road Show tour dates this weekend. Stapleton was set to play at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on Friday (October 10) and Saturday (October 11), and will no longer be able to do so. The good news? The shows aren’t canceled… they are just postponed to early 2026. Chris Stapleton offered up apologies for the late cancelation, and then explained when fans who had tickets to this weekend shows would actually be able to see him. The post also explained how ticket holders could get refunds if the rescheduled shows won’t work for them: “To all my friends in Hollywood, FL, I am very sorry to let you all know I am battling bronchitis and am unable to perform at this weekend’s shows as my doctors have put me on vocal rest. I want to sincerely thank anyone who made plans to attend these shows. We appreciate your patience and understanding and look forward to seeing you next year. The shows will be rescheduled to January 10 and 11. All previously purchased tickets for Friday, October 10 will be honored on Sunday, January 11, and tickets for Saturday, October 11 will be honored on Saturday, January 10. For those unable to attend the rescheduled dates, please contact your point of purchase by Monday, November 10.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Chris Stapleton (@chrisstapleton) Definitely a bummer for fans in Hollywood, Florida. But Chris Stapleton has got to rest up so he can get back out there. Fortunately for him, he only has one other show scheduled for this year in Gonzales, Louisiana at the Boots on the Bayou festival on November 1. That gives him just under a month to get his incomparable vocals healed up. While some fans complained in the comments section, saying that the cancellation hurt their wallet and that the postponed dates aren’t ideal, most people were very kind and just wished for a speedy recovery for the country music star: “So bummed but we hope you feel better soon!!! We’ll be praying for your recovery! Can’t wait for January!” “Get better Chris!” “Ain’t nobody got time for bronchitis!” “Hope you get better soon, Mr. Chris. The light you carry means a lot to us.” “Prayers for you. I hope you get better soon.” “Sending healing vibes and wishes for a full and speedy recovery.” See? Social media isn’t always a bad place. The post Chris Stapleton Forced To Cancel Multiple ‘All-American Road Show’ Tour Dates Due To Illness first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
