Peace No More? IDF Soldiers Open Fire On Palestinians In Gaza
Just days after a historic peace agreement was met between Israel and Hamas, IDF soldiers have reportedly opened fire on “suspects” who defied their orders.
A spokesperson for the IDF has reported, Israeli troops opened fire on Palestinians who breached a territory agreement in the ceasefire deal.
According to the spokesperson, IDF soldiers opened fire on the “suspects” after they crossed a yellow line in Northern Gaza which was a clear violation of the peace agreement.

Newsweek reported on how the shooting came to be:
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it had opened fire on a group of people who it claimed had approached them in northern Gaza on Tuesday in violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The ceasefire marks the most significant effort yet toward a lasting agreement, after earlier deals yielded only temporary ceasefires. Any violence is bound to raise fears of it collapsing and will test the durability of the ceasefire and, ultimately, the viability of Trump’s plan.
The firing highlights the tense and fragile nature of the ceasefire deal, which is part of U.S. President Donald Trump’s historic 20-point peace plan for Gaza and the Middle East.
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said the group of individuals had crossed the “Yellow Line” in northern Gaza behind which they withdrew under the first phase of the ceasefire deal with Hamas.
In a statement shared on Telegram, an IDF spokesperson said that “a number of suspects were identified who crossed the Yellow Line and approached IDF forces operating in the northern Gaza Strip, which constitutes a violation of the agreement.”
“Attempts were made to remove the suspects. The suspects did not respond and continued to approach the forces, and the forces fired to remove the threat,” the IDF spokesperson said.

Fox News had these details to report on the shooting:
Israel’s military said its troops in northern Gaza were forced to “open fire” Monday on a number of suspects who crossed a boundary that was set up under the ceasefire agreement.
“Earlier today, several suspects were spotted crossing the yellow line and approaching IDF troops in northern Gaza, a clear violation of the agreement,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said. “After multiple attempts to distance them, the suspects refused to comply, prompting troops to open fire to remove the threat.”
The IDF also said, “Reports of terrorists infiltrating an IDF position are incorrect.”
“The IDF urges Gaza residents to follow instructions and keep their distance from IDF troops,” it added.
It’s unclear how many suspects were fired upon. Gaza’s health authority claimed Tuesday that six Palestinians were killed by Israeli troops in two separate incidents, according to Reuters.
Brig. Gen. (res.) Amir Avivi, founder and chairman of IDSF (Israel’s Defense and Security Forum), told Fox News Digital that Israeli forces had controlled nearly 80% of the Gaza Strip before their pullback to the designated “yellow line” on Friday — a position, he said, that helped compel Hamas to agree to the ceasefire.
“The withdrawal enables Israel to maintain control over 53% of the Gaza Strip, including the Philadelphi Corridor, most of Rafah, half of Khan Younis, and sections of northern Gaza,” Avivi said. “Israel holds the high ground overlooking the coastal area, allowing the IDF to best protect Israeli towns.”
