Friends Host “Wig-Snatching Competition” And The Results Are Perfectly Chuckle-Worthy
When your friends are bored and can’t think of anything fun to do, try a wig-snatching competition! The concept is simple. Create a square ring (why do we call it a ring if it’s square?). Have contestants select a wig and place it on their head.
Contestants enter the ring, standing in opposite corners. When the match begins, opponents approach one another and attempt to snatch the wig off their head. The contestant wins if they are successful in snatching the wig from their opponent while maintaining possession of their own wig.

“On the left, Contestant One, in the orange wig, is wearing a gorgeous green wrap dress with an orange belt and matching knee-high orange boots. On the right, wearing the blue wig, Contestant Two is wearing a practical athletic outfit with shorts and a t-shirt. Let the match BEGIN!”
“Squaring off, the opponents quickly approach one another for the fast grab. These well-matched contestants executed a beautifully choreographed double wig snatching, ending the first round in a draw. Round two saw Contestant One backed into the corner. They made a quick grab for the blue wig, but Contestant Two pulled some ninja-like “Matrix” maneuver out of nowhere to avoid the grab. Contestant One stayed on the offensive, making another attempt. With a quick snatch, the blue wig was grabbed, ending the match with Contestant One as the winner.”

Several contestants took their turn in the ring throughout the afternoon. There were plenty of spills, chills, and thrills. Everyone had a great time, and the afternoon ended with broad smiles.
Wig-Snatching As A Fundraiser
The original poster, Carla, and her friends set up their ring in a public park. It looks to be around eight feet by eight feet. Corners are marked by small cones, and a thin rope marks the sides of the ring. Although you could get more elaborate (and they did, more on that in a moment) in the game setup, the minimal approach works well enough.
Wig-snatching was such a fun event for the friends that they have scheduled more competitions for the future. They have even decided to use the event in a more formal tournament-style to raise funds. This could become the next great thing at PTA fundraisers.
