This Pool Owner Didn’t Quite Expect This Reaction To Plums Falling In The Water…

Having an in-ground swimming pool in the summer means you’re ready for lazy days and relaxation. However, when a female duck moved into Tiffany’s backyard, she had some choices to make. She bought some duck feed and welcomed the little animal. It wasn’t long before she noticed the duck exhibiting egg-laying behavior. The baby ducks hatched right around the same time her plum tree ripened.
With hatchlings in the yard, Tiffany stopped putting chemicals in her pool. She knew it would be better for the baby ducks without chlorine. The little ducks can swim shortly after they hatch, and by two weeks old, they are seasoned professionals. Ripe plums started falling from the tree into the pool around the same time the ducks were getting proficient at swimming.

The plum tree and the baby ducks created an unexpected delight for Tiffany. The plums sink, and the baby ducks enjoy diving to retrieve them. As they resurface with their prize, they share it with the others, and it melts your heart.
There are seven ducklings, and Mama Duck is very attentive. Tiffany set up a splash pad on the deck for them to play in, and they love it. She added floating ramps to help them get in and out of the main pool. The splash pad gives the ducks clean water to play in.

Tiffany loves watching the little family grow and have fun, even if it means not being able to enjoy her pool this summer. To keep up with the ducklings as they continue to grow, follow Tiffany on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. She says they have about six weeks before they’re ready to fly away from the nest.
