For some women, becoming a mother is their ultimate dream in life. The moment they see a positive pregnancy test, they are forever changed. Alyssa Kincade, 27, certainly felt that way, but then life dealt her a devastating blow. During the 20th week of her pregnancy, doctors diagnosed Alyssa with stage four, aggressive lymphoma. To save her life, she had to begin chemotherapy. According to a GoFundMe, she battled bravely, and just ten days after her fifth round of chemo, Alyssa gave birth to Addison Marie via C-section. Alyssa Kincade Delivered A Miracle Baby As a new mom, Alyssa Kincade is both thrilled and nervous, just like any other mom. She told KFSN that she and Addison have a very special bond. She holds her baby during her treatments, which has been a wonderful bonding experience for the mother and daughter. “Kind of crazy that my little chemo buddy is with me today. It’s been really heartwarming to have her with me through all of the chemo,” Alyssa said. Alyssa’s mom, Amanda Kincade, has kept loved ones informed through the GoFundMe site. Following her granddaughter’s birth, she shared a sweet message. “Baby Addi is here, and we are so grateful and definitely rejoicing in her arrival- but unfortunately, this isn’t over for our daughter. Please keep her in your prayers as she continues to fight….and we will continue to keep you updated,” the proud grandmother wrote. “Please know that your support means everything to us and we truly feel like we have an army behind our fight!!” Alyssa Kincaid is keeping her faith and believes her motherhood journey serves a purpose. “It’s very unique what Addie and I have gone through together, but I think in the end, everything happens for a reason.
