Ashley McBryde Announces Eight Night “Redemption Residency” At Chief’s In Nashville Featuring 3 Unique Sets Of Shows
Eight unforgettable shows.
The “girl goin’ nowhere” herself, Ashley McBryde, has hardly lived up to her self-proclaimed nickname over the past few years. After breaking out with Eric Church back in 2017 with her performance of “Bible and A .44,” the Arkansas native has become one of the premier female artists in the genre, scoring a Grammy win for Best Country Duo/Group Performance (“Never Wanted to Be That Girl”) along with multiple ACM and CMA Award wins.
Back in August, McBryde scored another major career accomplishment in the form of her brand new Nashville bar, aptly named Redemption as a nod to her sobriety journey. The venue, which is located on the fifth floor of Eric Church’s Chiefs on Broadway, ultimately serves as a spot where fans can celebrate their sobriety through an extensive, non-alcoholic mocktail menu named after a plethora of different songs in her discography.
Of course, it’s not just a “non-alcoholic bar,” something a lot of people seemed not to understand when it was first announced. If you want a drink? You get one of those too. Or you can get any of the mocktails with alcohol added. But instead of going to the bar and having to specify that you want a drink to be made without alcohol, here it’s the other way around.
As mentioned earlier, the space was inspired by McBryde’s own sobriety journey, something she discussed recently when she sat down for an appearance on Whiskey Riff Raff:
“Not drinking sucks. It sucks when other people are doing it and just you can’t. And it sucks when, over 1,000 days into not drinking, your brain goes, ‘You could probably, if you think about it, two fingers of whiskey, you’d probably be fine.’ And you’re like, I probably would be. I might get sick though.
You can’t even entertain this, what are you doing?”
During a special preview of Redemption back in August, she explained why it was important to her to have somewhere that people who don’t drink feel comfortable:
“The only thing that changed about me was what was in my cup. It didn’t change that I wanted to hang out, or be around people who do what I do… On this menu, when you order something, it just comes that way. And you’re welcome to drink alcohol here too… but you’re going to have to ask for it. You’re welcome to drink or not drink, and I think that’s just friendly.”
Now that Redemption has been open for two months, McBryde has announced her first major event at the venue: an eight-show residency featuring three sets of special shows throughout the first half of 2026. Taking to Instagram this morning, the “One Night Standards” singer officially announced the “Redemption Residency.”

Instead of simply performing eight standard sets at the eight shows, McBryde is sectioning them off into three separate themes. Beginning on the first weekend, January 22nd and 23rd (and again on March 19th and 20th), McBryde is treating fans to an intimate acoustic session chalked full of stories behind her songs titled “Just Me and My Shadow.”
On February 19th and 20th, she’s bringing the world of her brilliant 2022 concept album, Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville, along with other cuts on her albums on the second set of shows titled, “Postcards from Lindeville.” Here, you can expect fan-favorites like “Brenda Put Your Bra On,” “Martha Divine,” “Velvet Red” and Blackout Betty.”
Finally, to wrap up the residency on April 17th and 18th, McBryde is paying tribute to all the music that inspired her as an artist in the form of the third and final set, “Mixtape from the Mixed Up Years,” which she describes as the “music that made us want to make music.” As always with McBryde, I’d expect a wide range of different styles and genres that could easily see a Patsy Cline cover followed by an Allman Brothers track or something of the like.
Members of McBryde’s fan club, Trybe, will get first access to tickets on Tuesday, October 28th at 12 p.m. CST with public on sale beginning Friday, October 31st at 12 p.m. CST.
