News One Piece Netlfix Reveals One Piece Season 2’s Premiere Date and Where the Crew Is Going Next Luffy and the Straw Hats are heading to the Grand Line. By Vanessa Armstrong | Published on October 28, 2025 Credit: Casey Crafford/Netflix Comment 0 Share New Share Credit: Casey Crafford/Netflix The second installment of Netflix’s One Piece will be upon us before we know it, and in addition to announcing the premiere date today, the streamer shared an official synopsis and new images showcasing certain locations the voyagers will be visiting.  The second season will have the title One Piece: Into the Grand Line, which reveals that we’ll be going to (you guessed it) the Grand Line, a “legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn,” as the official synopsis describes it.  The synopsis goes on to say that, as Luffy and the Straw Hats “journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies.” “At the end of the first season, our characters made this pledge around a barrel to achieve their dreams, and in season two, we put those dreams to the test,” co-showrunner Joe Tracz told Tudum. “Every island we visit in the Grand Line is going to challenge one of the Straw Hats in a unique way, and they’re going to learn that, to fulfill their dreams, they have to rely on each other.” Elsewhere on Tudum, Netflix shares some details on specific places the crew will go: Loguetown, “a town of the beginning and the end” where pirate king Gold Roger was sentenced to death; Reverse Mountain, where “the dreams of pirates are crushed before they even begin” by the river that flows up its peaks; Laboon, who is a really, really big whale; Whisky Peak, a town on Cactus Island that loves pirates; Little Garden, an island where dinosaurs still roam; and—last but certainly not least—Drum Island, which has drum-shaped mountains, an ominous castle, and freezing temperatures all year round. “It’s our medieval, Winterfell [on] Game of Thrones location, where you have this haunted-seeming castle at the top of a snowy mountain inhabited by someone the villagers say is a witch,” Tracz said about Drum Island.  Drum Island was also shot in South Africa, which had no snow. “We brought in piles and piles of fake snow,” Tracz added. “It tricks your brain. You’d get to set and feel like you should be cold, even though it was summer, because of all the fake snow everywhere.” We also got the release date for the new episodes: Season two of One Piece (aka One Piece: Into the Grand Line) will premiere on Netflix on March 10, 2026.  While we wait, check out some newly released images from the second season.
