Ryan Bingham Brings Out His Wife & ‘Yellowstone’ Co-Star, Hassie Harrison, For Surprise Performance Of “Tulsa Time”

An unexpected duet partner. This past weekend, Ryan Bingham played a show at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he was joined by a very special guest for a performance of “Tulsa Time,” as his wife and Yellowstone co-star Hassie Harrison, who he married in October of 2024, surprised the crowd onstage. Of course, the two met on the set of the hit series Yellowstone, where Bingham played a ranch hand named Walker, and Harrison played a barrel racer named Laramie. It was released in October 1978 as the first single from is Expressions album, and eventually became Williams’ eighth number one on the country chart, spending a single week at number one and eleven weeks in the top 40. It was also recorded by Eric Clapton for his 1978 Backless album, and a live version by Clapton from his album Just One Night became a #30 Billboard hit in 1980. Before starting the song, Bingham admitted that it “might be a train wreck,” but Hassie jumped right in and she didn’t sound too shabby… I’m not sure if she’s ever dabbled in music, but it certainly made for an entertaining night and fun surprise: @showmelivemusic83 “Tulsa Time” covered by @Ryan Bingham and @Hassie Harrison including Calder Allen @Cain’s Ballroom for their 100th anniversary! @Yellowstone #ryanbingham #cover #livemusic #music #country ♬ original sound – Show-Me Live Music Bingham is actually currently working on a new album, which will be his first record since his 2023 project Watch Out for the Wolf. He recently spoke with People about how Hassie has been a creative muse for him as he’s been writing for this project, saying his wife has kept him laughing, and helped bring a “a spark and a fire back” that has allowed him to really have fun with his writing and music in general again: “She brings out this other side of me from when I was a kid, that, depending on how you grow up or whatever, it can be easy to lose some of that joy in your life. The world can kind of beat you down. She’s really brought a spark and a fire back in me that’s letting me have a lot more fun with it.” He added that you will hear a lot of her influence on this record, including some love songs, which will be a stark contrast to some of the “sad cowboy songs” he’s made a name on, and that I really love too. Though, it will be fun to hear a new side of him and it sounds like this will certainly be different than any other album he’s ever put out: “We laugh a lot, and so there’s some pretty sweet love songs in there that are fun and still meaningful. But there’s another thing. And she’s right. I’ve got plenty of sad cowboy songs in the can. So to have this whole fresh new batch of music being really positive… it’s uplifting for me, it makes me feel good when I’m singing these songs. I’m excited to have that opportunity to go out and play these on the road.” In September, Bingham released a song called “The Lucky Ones,” which will be on the forthcoming record. Written by his longtime bandmate and close friend, Cody Huggins, “The Lucky Ones” details the struggles of love and loss, seemingly a road warrior anthem for those who are chasing dreams.
