ICE Arrests Illegal Immigrant Who Was On The Run For Gruesome Murder

ICE has been really working hard these last 10 months and now they just got another killer off the streets. A new report by the Department of Homeland Security has revealed a Moldovan woman who was in the United States illegally and on the run after being convicted of murder has been arrested. ICE authorities in Los Angeles arrested Victoria Sorocean for being in the United States illegally and later discovered she was wanted in Moldova after she was convicted of throwing another woman from a window of an apartment building. The New York Post reported more on Sorocean’s arrest and how she managed to stay in the United States so long: A Moldovan woman convicted of torturing and tossing a victim to their death from a ninth-floor window was arrested by US immigration officials – years after she fled her home country to avoid justice and was let into the US. Victoria Sorocean was arrested in Los Angeles by US Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) on Nov. 4 after officials learned she was wanted in Moldova for a grisly murder, Fox News reported. Sorocean and an accomplice were found guilty that year of beating a victim with a stick and an electrical cable, then chucking their battered body from the window of an apartment building on to the pavement below. The Eastern European was convicted of premeditated murder with exceptional cruelty in 2013, and sentenced to 17 years in prison. But she escaped Moldova to dodge justice, and made her way to the US instead. The killer was first apprehended in the US in 2020, but managed to manipulate the legal system and asylum process to avoid deportation, ICE sources told Fox News. Her ploy seemed at first to work – after lodging numerous legal filings and appeals, she was eventually released back into the US in 2022. Under the first Trump Administration, ICE arrested her on January 10, 2020. Following her arrest, Sorocean engaged in various legal tactics to avoid removal, including filing multiple appeals with the Board of Immigration Appeals and seeking asylum. In 2022, Sorocean was released back into the country under the Biden administration. “It shocks the conscience that the Biden Administration released into America a cruel, violent illegal alien who tortured a human being, beat them with an electrical cable and a stick, and then threw her victim from a ninth-floor window,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “These are the types of barbaric criminal illegal aliens ICE is targeting every single day. 70% of all ICE arrests are of illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S. This does not even include foreign fugitives like this convicted murderer. Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, the world’s criminals are no longer welcome in the U.S.” This case highlights the failures of the previous administration which allowed millions of illegal aliens, including violent criminals and murderers like Sorocean, to roam free in American neighborhoods. ICE officers arrested Sorocean on November 4, 2025, and she will remain in ICE custody pending removal proceedings.
