They announced the new offering in a social media campaign that teased the coffee giant’s “embearassing” release. Aldi shared a photo of the gingerbread man cup holding flowers, with the text, “I’m just the nice guy she crawls back to after she tried the whole bad bear thing.” Mic drop. Fans positively loved Aldi’s jab at the Bearista cup and are ready to pop a quarter in their cart and grab one. “Well played Aldi well played. I work at Starbucks. I’m still traumatized from last Thursday and the teddy bear cups,” a Starbucks employee admitted. “God bless whomever is running this Instagram account and getting approvals from the vp of marketing for Aldi.
