Prince George And His Parents Have The Most Relatable Tween Disagreement
Yes, Prince George has a very big future ahead of him. His father, Prince William, will soon be king, and one day it will be his turn. Of course, that’s all fine and good, but we have to remember he’s still a 12-year-old kid. And when you’re that age, kids start wanting what their friends have and might begin conversations with, “But I am the only one,” or “You never let me do anything.” Now, Prince George might not use that kind of vernacular, but he’s apparently starting to speak up about wanting a cell phone. And it’s a conversation his parents knew would be coming, but aren’t necessarily thrilled about.

Prince William Opened Up About Getting Prince George A Cell Phone
Prince George isn’t the average 12-year-old boy wanting a cell phone. His family is known worldwide, and plenty of people make remarks about the royals online. Giving him a cell phone also means opening him up to all that the world has to say. Per People, Prince William shared his thoughts on Prince George and a cell phone with Luciano Huck in a recent interview in Brazil.
“Our children don’t have phones. I think when George moves on to secondary school, then maybe he might have a phone that has no internet access,” William explained.
But he added that it’s becoming an issue with the young prince and his parents.
“And to be honest, it’s getting to the point where it’s becoming a little bit of a like tense issue,” Prince William admitted.
His dad said Prince George is pretty understanding of his parents’ trepidation about a cell phone.
“But I think he understands why,” Prince William added. “We communicate why we don’t think it’s right. And again, I think it’s the internet access I have a problem with. I think children can access too much stuff they don’t need to see online, and so having a phone and text message, the old sort of ‘brick phone’ as they call them, I think that’s fine.”
