WATCH: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene APOLOGIZES to the Left for “Toxic Politics”

Amidst her feud with President Trump, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene went on CNN this morning. While speaking to Dana Bash, she issued a humble apology to the left for engaging in “toxic politics,” calling it “very bad for our country.” In light of the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, MTG says that she has been working on putting down the “knives in politics.” “I really just want to see people be kind to one another,” she said. Watch for yourself: Marjorie Taylor Greene goes on CNN to apologize for “taking part in toxic politics” against the Left: “I really just want to see people be kind to one another.” This was minutes after she accused Trump of inciting threats against her. pic.twitter.com/CLk4yIS364 — johnny maga (@_johnnymaga) November 16, 2025 For those who prefer to read, here’s a transcript: MTG: I would like to say humbly that I’m sorry for taking part in the toxic politics; it is very bad for our country. Um, it’s been something that I’ve thought about a lot, especially since Charlie Kirk was assassinated. I’m only responsible for my own words and actions. I’ve been working on this a lot lately, to put down the knives in politics. I really just want to see people be kind to one another. And we need to figure out a new path forward that is focused on the American people…We have far more in common than we have differences. As you may have guessed, MTG’s apology to the left — which has been responsible for so much political violence, including the murder of Charlie Kirk — is not going over well with many patriots. Take a look at some of these replies criticizing her apparent grift: Leftists celebrated Charlie Kirk’s murder and then elected an AG who openly fantasizes about killing us and our children, and now REPUBLICANS are going on CNN to apologize for their “toxic” rhetoric? What the hell is going on? https://t.co/oMNQmacRID — Matt Walsh (@MattWalshBlog) November 16, 2025 This is the exact opposite of what Charlie Kirk’s death taught me. https://t.co/KY4QeCbCmj — Patrick Casey (@restoreorderusa) November 16, 2025 Was that the final nail in the coffin? Wow. — SuzcoolTT (@SuzcoolTT) November 16, 2025 Never go full CNN. pic.twitter.com/jgrvF34Wu8 — Dr. Eoin Lenihan (@EoinLenihan) November 16, 2025 Notably, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s remarks come just one day after she accused President Trump of fueling violent threats against her. She posted on X: I am now being contacted by private security firms with warnings for my safety as a hot bed of threats against me are being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world. The man I supported and helped get elected. Aggressive rhetoric attacking me has historically… — Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (@RepMTG) November 15, 2025 I am now being contacted by private security firms with warnings for my safety as a hot bed of threats against me are being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world. The man I supported and helped get elected. Aggressive rhetoric attacking me has historically led to death threats and multiple convictions of men who were radicalized by the same type rhetoric being directed at me right now. This time by the President of the United States. As a woman I take threats from men seriously. I now have a small understanding of the fear and pressure the women, who are victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his cabal, must feel. As a Republican, who overwhelmingly votes for President Trump‘s bills and agenda, his aggression against me which also fuels the venomous nature of his radical internet trolls (many of whom are paid), this is completely shocking to everyone. My phone is blowing up with constant amazing support. I’m so thankful! The Political Industrial Complex and the toxic violent nature of American politics must end. Our country is worth saving and it can only be done if we pull together and save ourselves. During her CNN appearance, MTG doubled down on this statement. She says she was incredibly hurt by President Trump calling her a “traitor” and that it puts a target on her back. However, MTG confirmed that she still supports President Trump and his agenda. That said, she is refusing to back down on issues that she believes President Trump has not delivered on, like the Epstein files. Watch: I stood with President Trump when almost no one else would. I campaigned for him all over this country and spent millions of my own dollars helping him get elected. That’s why being called a “traitor” isn’t just hurtful, it puts a target on my back and puts my life in danger.… pic.twitter.com/LPDjpldExn — Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (@RepMTG) November 16, 2025 I stood with President Trump when almost no one else would. I campaigned for him all over this country and spent millions of my own dollars helping him get elected. That’s why being called a “traitor” isn’t just hurtful, it puts a target on my back and puts my life in danger. And it only divides our country even more. But even through this, I still support the Trump administration and want to see it succeed for the American people. I believe in transparency. That’s why I’ve pushed to release the Epstein files. Survivors deserve the truth, and I won’t apologize for standing with them. All this infighting is terrible to see. The divide between two sects of MAGA seems to be growing stronger by the day, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Rather than splitting up over minor disagreements, it would be much better for everyone to keep the bigger picture in mind and stand together. We should not be fighting against each other when there are much bigger fish to fry! Alex Jones shared a really intriguing perspective on all this, which you can watch right here: Trumps threat to primary MTG is very destructive to the prospects of MAGA in the future.
