Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) was banned from traveling internationally for three months after an alcohol-related episode during a CODEL in Mexico,” Punchbowl News senior congressional reporter Andrew Desiderio wrote. “House Intel Chair Crawford wanted Speaker Johnson to boot Crenshaw from the panel. Johnson said no but Crenshaw’s ‘cartel task force’ was disbanded,” he continued. SCOOP — Rep. One Mexican official cracked a crude joke that made a woman present uncomfortable. Crenshaw toasted the remarks. Johnson, Crawford and Crenshaw huddled at the beginning of September following the August trip,” Desiderio continued. “The meeting was heated, according to multiple sources familiar with the Intelligence Committee and its inner workings. Crawford banned Crenshaw from traveling as part of his Intelligence Committee duties — a decision that the chair saw as being authorized by the GOP leadership,” he added. “Crawford and Crenshaw had already been feuding over Crawford’s push for counterintelligence reforms in the annual intel authorization bill. Multiple sources familiar with the matter said Crawford was frustrated with Crenshaw’s lack of support for the plan. The language ultimately ended up in the House version of the intel authorization bill,” he noted. Sortor shared a clip of Crenshaw earlier this year saying he would “f***ing kill” political commentator Tucker Carlson if he ever met him. “Have you ever met Tucker?” Crenshaw was asked. “We’ve talked a lot on Twitter. If I ever meet him, I’ll f***ing kill him,” Crenshaw responded. Footage below [EXPLICIT LANGUAGE]: BREAKING: Top Republicans BANNED Disgraced Rep. Carlson has called Crenshaw one of the “dumbest, most liberal” Republicans. Crenshaw has called Carlson a “click-chaser” and “elitist.” The pair has also clashed over sending aid to Ukraine and immigration policy. After an interview with conservative British news channel GB News’s Correspondent Steven Edginton where Crenshaw criticized Carlson’s opposition to sending aid to Ukraine, Edginton asked Crenshaw if he’d ever met Carlson. “We’ve talked a lot on Twitter,” Crenshaw said. “If I ever meet him, I’ll f— kill him.” GB News posted the exchange in a since-deleted video on X. “I believe @SpeakerJohnson should seriously consider removing @DanCrenshawTX from the House Intelligence Committee. There are numerous other House Republicans who are more composed and mentally sound for the role. I’m genuinely concerned about Dan’s mental health,” Alex Bruesewitz commented.
