Defamation Suit Inbound? Behar: ‘Obvious’ Trump Is Epstein’s Pedophile Partner
ABC News may soon be facing down another costly defamation suit from President Trump. On Thursday’s edition of The View, moderator Joy Behar proclaimed that it was “obvious” that Trump was a pedophile in league with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and took part in the crimes the latter was convicted of.
Amid a segment where they were asserting that the Trump administration wasn’t going to release the Epstein files as Congress demanded with a law earlier this week, Behar insisted it was “obvious” that Trump was a co-conspirator:
BEHAR: But isn't it obvious he was -- that Trump was involved with Epstein?! I mean --
SUNNY HOSTIN: He's mentioned over a thousand times.
BEHAR: There are more pictures with Epstein than pictures of Kim Kardashian of herself!
HOSTIN: Yes.
ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: Right.
HOSTIN: Correct.
“How many more things do we have to see before people believe that he was involved with Epstein?!” Behar yelled.
Defamation suit inbound?
ABC News moderator Joy Behar says it's "obvious" that Trump was engaged in pedophilia and was partners with Epstein's abuse of minors:

Despite just backing up Behar’s lie that there were more pictures of Trump and Epstein together than existed of Kim Kardashian, co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sunny Hostin tried to run a bit of damage control:
FARAH GRIFFIN: To date, he has never been credibly accused of a crime in this.
HOSTIN: Right. He hasn’t been.
FARAH GRIFFIN: You see him at parties. He knows him. There’s a known falling out. But honestly, if I were advising him, I would say if you have nothing to hide, if this is just an old friendship that fell apart and you happen to know a really bad guy, put it all out there. That is the quickest way to exonerate.
BEHAR: But it's not, don't you see that!
Later in the segment, when talking about members of Congress throwing accusations at each other about soliciting donations from Epstein, they hypocritically decried the flinging of baseless accusations:
FARAH GRIFFIN: This is why people get so frustrated with politicians, something horrible was done. We all agree on that, Epstein engaged in horrific crimes but people care more about my team didn't do it your team did it and --
HOSTIN: Why is this a political issue?
FARAH GRIFFIN: Exactly!
HOSTIN: I mean, its sex abuse of children.
SARA HAINES: When she [Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX)] said my team looked into this quickly. When you throw out an accusation that big – which we all know this case is that big – just own it, say it was a mistake and move on because to then try to say, ‘well they lie and we don't lie,’ again, the distrust in Congress and our politicians.
After baselessly claiming Trump was a party in Epstein's crimes, The View whines about politicians throwing out baseless accusations and making things political. pic.twitter.com/ytQr3xmepj

“Don't sling an accusation out on the congressional floor and not dial it back quickly, abruptly say I got it wrong and move on because it isn't political, it’s criminal,” co-host Sara Haines declared.
Perhaps The View should be focus on keeping their own house in order first. At no point did ABC issue a "legal note" for Behar's claim.
The network seems to have a habit of accusing Trump of sex crimes. Almost a year ago, ABC News had settled a $15 million defamation suit with Trump after co-anchor George Stephanopoulos falsely claimed Trump had been found “liable for rape.”

BEHAR: It's not true that they [NRCC] took money from Jeffrey Epstein?
HOSTIN: It's a different Jeffrey Epstein.
BEHAR: Okay. It's a different Jeffrey Epstein. It’s so confusing and annoying!
FARAH GRIFFIN: This is why people get so frustrated with politicians, something horrible was done. We all agree on that, Epstein engaged in horrific crimes but people care more about my team didn't do it your team did it and --

HOSTIN: But the bottom line is – and you've said this before –
HAINES: It’s not political.
HOSITN: It is not a partisan issue. This is not a political issue.
HAINES: Right, but I’m speaking to purely to – don't sling an accusation out on the congressional floor and not dial it back quickly, abruptly say I got it wrong and move on because it isn't political, it’s criminal.
HOSTIN: It's just -- it's hellish at this point. I don’t know why there are two sides to an issue about child sexual abuse.
BEHAR: There isn't.
HOSTIN: There aren't two sides to it. It is shameful.
BEHAR: Yeah, okay, we're going to take a break. We'll be right back.
