New Orleans RAID SHOCKER: Thousands of Illegals Targeted in Trump Crackdown

Blue states are not the only states with an illegal alien problem. The Department of Homeland Security last week announced it would send 250 federal immigration officers to Louisiana. The move by the DHS is part of the department’s new operation called Swamp Sweep. Here’s an inside look of Operation Swamp Sweep below: Here’s a backup video if needed: HOLY CRAP! The Trump administration is now surging HUNDREDS of federal agents into New Orleans to arrest and deport thousands of illegals Operation Swamp Sweep is officially beginning — and the locals will ASSIST, not impede. pic.twitter.com/275q6BZiok — Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) November 23, 2025 WAPT reported DHS expects to arrest nearly 5,000 illegal aliens during the operation: Mississippi’s Republican governor and lone Democratic congressman are at odds over an impending large-scale immigration operation known as “Swamp Sweep,” which will send federal agents into Louisiana and Mississippi. The monthslong crackdown is set to begin Dec. 1 in southeast Louisiana, where officials in New Orleans are bracing for the arrival of as many as 250 federal agents. The operation has the backing of Louisiana’s Republican governor. Federal authorities have set a goal of arresting roughly 5,000 people across Louisiana and Mississippi. While most of the deployment will be staged out of New Orleans, the operation’s reach is expected to include parts of Mississippi, though federal officials have not released specific locations. “We support law and order in our state. If you are here legally, then you have nothing to worry about,” said Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves. “Obviously, they are going to headquarter that out of New Orleans, and there may be some carryover into Mississippi. We support the president’s efforts to keep law and order in our state.” U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, who represents Mississippi’s Second District, has been an outspoken opponent of the immigration crackdown. “Border Patrol agents have spent months going from city to city, terrorizing residents, racially profiling families, and even arresting U.S. citizens,” Thompson said in a statement. “Let me be crystal clear: they are neither wanted nor needed in Jackson or in Mississippi. Our communities are proud, resilient, and deeply rooted. We do not need a federal show of force that will undoubtedly put innocent people in harm’s way.” U.S. Rep. Michael Guest, a Republican who represents Mississippi’s Third District, said Border Patrol and ICE gents are tasked with following the nation’s immigration laws. “ICE has been successful in capturing and removing individuals charged and convicted of violent crimes, sex crimes, crimes against children, and those who pose a danger to our communities,” Guest said in a statement. “I am confident that Operation ‘Swamp Sweep’ will have the same success as other operations across our nation. This will result in locating, arresting, and deporting criminal illegal aliens who are residing in Mississippi.” The Republican Party of Louisiana is in support of the operation: “Swamp Sweep” coming to New Orleans December 1st! 250 Agents! 2 Months! 5,000 Criminals off our streets! pic.twitter.com/MnMgMmwwwv — Republican Party of Louisiana (@LAGOP) November 19, 2025 News Nation reported the operation is monumental: As Border Patrol prepares to head to Louisiana for its upcoming immigration operation, a former police lieutenant says an operation this size is “monumental.” “We have an unprecedented issue with illegal immigration, so that unfortunately means we require an unprecedented response to get it under control,” Randy Sutton, retired police lieutenant with the Las Vegas Police Department, told NewsNation. The upcoming immigration crackdown, called “Operation Swamp Sweep,” will be taking place in New Orleans. Sutton said he has heard from fellow law enforcement officers that Louisiana was chosen for the site of the next federal immigration operation because of its high crime rate, which they could correlate to illegal immigration. He says the city of New Orleans has also never cooperated with federal law enforcement in the past due to its sanctuary city status, which has led to the upcoming events. “The federal government is simply not taking it anymore, and they’re going after the illegal migrants,” Sutton said.
