Miranda Lambert Shares Sweet Post Following The Loss Of Her Beloved Mini Horses, Sugar Pie & Adrianna: “I Can’t Tell You How Much Joy They Brought Me”

A tough weekend for Miranda Lambert. Over the weekend, she shared the unfortunate news that she has sadly had to say goodbye to two of her beloved miniature horses, Sugar Pie and Adrianna. Miranda is a huge advocate for rescuing animals of any kind, and has an entire charity dedicated to furthering that mission called MuttNation, which is a cause very near and dear to her heart. In a post on Instagram, Miranda shared several photos and videos of her with her horses over the years, explaining she’s had them for 18 years, and that they’ve brought her so much joy. She noted how difficult it is to say goodbye, and thanked everyone who has helped her take care of them over the years. She ended the post by saying that she knows they’re “both in greener pastures” now: “My sweet little nugget’s Sugar Pie and Adrianna crossed over the rainbow bridge today. I’ve had 18 years with these littles and I can’t tell you how much joy they brought me. The best part about being an animal mom is the joy. The worst part is when the time comes to say goodbye. Full of gratitude for them and for Tommy, Julia and Sarah and everyone who helped take care of them and give them the best life when I was on the road all these years. Godspeed little bitty’s. I know you are both in greener pastures as I type this. I’ll see y’all again one day. Big love.” I’m sure a lot of us know the pain of losing a pet, and really, it just freaking sucks… and losing two at one time is even worse, so I’m sure it’s been a really hard last several days for Miranda. She talks often about how much she loves all of her pets, which includes several dogs, cats, horses, and mini horses, as well as goats and chickens and probably some we don’t even know of out on her farm. While I’m sure making the decision to put them down was difficult, they’re surely in greener pastures as Miranda noted in her post, though that obviously doesn’t make the pain of the loss or the grieving process any easier.
