BEAUTIFUL: The West Virginia Mountaineers took time to honor fallen National Guard member Sarah Beckstrom, and injured Guardsman Andrew Wolfe
“Please join us in a moment of silence for Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom.”
“Their commitment to duty and serving our state and country is something of which ALL West Virginians should be proud.”
“Their bravery will NEVER be forgotten.”
Wolfe is STILL in critical condition. Pray for a full recovery!
The family of Jason Wolfe is asking for people to continue praying for their loved one’s life.
The New York Post shared the latest update on Wolfe’s condition:
National Guardsman Andrew Wolfe’s heartbroken family is “asking for prayers” as the hero fights for his life — three days after he was allegedly ambushed by an Afghan refugee.
“Just pray for my son,” Jason Wolfe, the 24-year-old’s father, told The Post Saturday.
Jason Wolfe, a deputy sheriff in Berkeley County, did not share any updates on Wolfe’s condition.
“The family is asking for prayers,” another relative, who did not share her name, said in a separate phone call.
While Wolfe’s family was tight-lipped about his condition, Rep. Riley Moore revealed the West Virginia native is “hanging on.”
“Andy is hanging on. And he is a fighter and his family has told me that time and time again, he is a fighter,” the West Virginia Republican told “FOX & Friends Weekend.”
“But above all what they want here is for everybody to continue to pray. I believe in the power of prayer and I can promise you his parents believe in the power of prayer… Please keep praying.”
Wolfe’s family and loved ones have remained by his side since he and fellow soldier Sarah Beckstrom were ambushed Wednesday near the Farragut West Metro Station in Northwest DC, Berkeley County Sheriff Rob Blair told The Post.
“They’re a wonderful family, they’re a very close family. They’re a family that has faith. They stick together and they’re sticking together on this,” said Blair, who has been at Wolfe’s hospital beside in recent days.
“There’s been such a groundswell of support from them. It’s just amazing, the people in the community that are supporting them and will continue to do that work. We just believe in complete recovery for Andy.”
The U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt has remained in what West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey called “very critical condition” and has undergone at least one surgery since Rahmanullah Lakanwal allegedly pounced on the young pair of heroes.
Please keep Jason Wolfe and his family in your prayers.
