Morgan Wallen’s “I’m The Problem” Named Spotify’s #1 Most-Streamed Album In The U.S.

Another year on top. Morgan Wallen released his fourth studio album, I’m The Problem, back in May, and it was a huge success, moving close to 500,000 units in the first week it was out, which is just beyond incredible and an astronomical number. Upon its release (and the weeks following), I’m The Problem broke Wallen’s previously set record of most songs charted on the Billboard Hot 100 in a single week (37). Additionally, he became the first artist ever to spend at least 10 weeks atop the all-genre Billboard’s 200 chart with three consecutive albums and even skyrocketed all the way up to eight-most weeks spent on the chart by any artist in its history. Recently, he also became the first solo act in history to score multiple 20-week #1 hits on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart with “What I Want” featuring Tate McRae. Simply put, the album was nothing short of a streaming monster, and it many (myself included) seriously doubted that any major album, at least in the U.S., could top it in terms of pure sales and streams on a daily basis. With the end of 2025 slowly drawing to a close, Spotify has finally released its highly-anticipated “Spotify Wrapped” recap, which not only allows users to see their most-played artists, albums and songs throughout the year but also the national and global leaders among all of the app’s listener’s worldwide. The results are in, and to no one’s surprise, Wallen’s presence on the U.S. charts comes early and often. Notably (and unsurprisingly), I’m The Problem was named #1 most-streamed album in the U.S., beating out the likes of SZA’s SOS Deluxe: LANA, Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, Super Bowl halftime performer, Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS and Taylor Swift’s monster album, The Life of a Showgirl. Additionally, 2023’s One Thing At A Time also slots in on the list at #9, making Wallen the only artist in the U.S. to have two albums in the Top 10. I’m The Problem’s #1 should ultimately come as no surprise given the massive numbers its moved since its release on May 16th. In only seven months, the record already has five separate songs which have passed 250 million streams globally with “Love Somebody” (388 million) and “What I Want” featuring Tate McRae (287 million) being I’m The Problem’s top tracks. Similar to last year, Wallen was not the #1 most-streamed artist in the U.S. overall. With that being said, however, he sits comfortably at #3 behind global superstars, Taylor Swift and Drake. Fellow country giant, Zach Bryan, also makes an appearance on the list at #8, a fall from his #3 spot above Wallen in 2024. As for Top U.S. Songs, surprisingly, Wallen failed to notch a Top 10 entry. However, he tied Kendrick Lamar with the most songs inside the Top 50 with five separate entries, including “I Had Some Help,” “I’m The Problem,” “What I Want,” “Just In Case” and “Love Somebody.” Other country songs which claimed a spot inside the Top 50 are Riley Green’s “Worst Way,” Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgrave’s Grammy-winning, “I Remember Everything” and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy).” Wallen’s Spotify Wrapped dominance comes just one day after his huge day on Apple Music Replay where he not only captured the most streamed album on the platform with I’m The Problem but also scored the most entries inside the Top 100 most-streamed songs world-wide with a staggering 12.
