Larry Fleet Says His Next Record Will Drop In February: “It’s Very Blue-Collar & Family Oriented”

Another record from Larry Fleet will be here sooner rather than later. Larry Fleet joined the Whiskey Riff Raff podcast to talk new music, faith, sobriety, and to dive into some downright wild stories. He shared how he connects with fans around the world, and why he still writes drinking songs despite stepping away from alcohol. Larry also opened up about the role God plays in his music… and tells us about the UFO he saw, his ghost encounter, and why he believes in Bigfoot (it gets really interesting at the end of the episode). But the one thing we really wanted to dive into with the “Where I Find God” singer was if and when there would be new music on the way. Fleet kindly shared that he’s basically got a project wrapped up, and that it will be coming out in the beginning of 2026: “I think in February, the full record will come out. That’s what we’re looking at. We’re still working on everything. I cut four songs at the beginning of the year, and released that, and they went (over well). Then, I was just like… for the most part, what I’ve learned is people want a full record from me. The singles will do fine, but a record (is what they want). People want to press play and listen to 10, 12, 15 songs… whatever. I also learned that more than 15 songs, the ones on the back really aren’t getting listened to. That goes for anybody.” Besides a couple of EPs that he’s released in 2024 and early 2025, this will be the first collection of music that Larry Fleet has released since 2023’s Earned It. And if you weren’t able to gather or infer how many songs will be on the new album, the country music singer-songwriter went on to detail how long the track list will span, and why he kind of bucks against the trend of lengthier albums: “There are a lot of people putting out 20, 30, 40 song records. I feel like it’s not giving every song a fair chance. I think if you keep it around 10 or 12, people can digest that. That’s 45 minutes to maybe an hour or something like that. If you can keep it in there, somebody can listen to that on a car ride, and actually listen to it. That was my thought. Do 10 or 12 songs or something like that.” @whiskeyriff @Larry Fleet #whiskeyriffraff #whiskeyriff ♬ Where I Find God – Larry Fleet Fleet’s album will actually fall exactly on 11 songs… barring some sort of last minute change. He excitedly shared that this is the first project that he was able to actually use his own band (that he tours with) on. Fleet feels as though it gives the album a very true, Larry Fleet sound, and said that people who love to see him live should really like what they hear when the album drops in February. As far as the vibes of the collection of songs, Fleet revealed that it’ll have an Americana vibe, and will continue to tackle the topic of every day living that he’s become known for: “I wrote most of all the songs until the last day we cut, and a couple of songs came in. Some good buddies of mine were like, ‘Check this out.’ Totally not commercial at all. That’s not what I wanted. I wanted it to be my own thing. I’ve got my own thing. Faith, family and working hard… that’s what I do. It’s very blue collar and family oriented. So I wanted it to kind of be that way. I wanted it to tell a story, and I wanted you to feel something out of it.” Fans should revel in the fact that they only have to wait a couple of more months (think of it as a belated Christmas present) for that “feel-something-Fleet-album” to arrive.
