Back with another highly-anticipated teaser. Over the past four months, Luke Combs has clearly been gearing up for one of the biggest album-releases of his career so far. In case you missed it, Combs kicked everything off back in July with the release of “Back In The Saddle,” which signaled a return to form for the North Carolina native, bringing back his classic sound that many fans craved after a bit of a departure from it on his 2024 project, “Fathers & Sons.” August rolled around, and Combs then teased the concept of a “crowdsourced” album, posting 14 never-before-heard songs on his “secret” Instagram account, @lcombs77, which you can listen to here. Since then, the North Carolina native has given fans an official taste of what’s to come on the upcoming record through the release of his three-song EP simply titled, The Prequel, containing previously-teased tracks such as the highly-anticipated “My Kinda Saturday Night,” which Combs would later name his massive 2026 international stadium tour after, along with “15 Minutes” and ‘Days Like These,” his current single that’s sitting at #21 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. With all of that being said, the “Hurricane” singer has continued to tease and further confirm the release of even more new songs. Just this week, he officially announced his emotional new track, “Giving Her Away” is coming THIS Friday, but before the track could even drop, he’s already began posting even more new teasers. Back in 2020, Combs would take to Facebook to tease a brand new track, “Sleepless in a Hotel Room,” which was written with frequent collaborators, Jonathan Singleton and Randy Montana, and was actually penned before the COVID-19 pandemic shut the country down. “Trying to take a nap before my Billboard Music Awards performance tonight and I couldn’t sleep. It reminded me of this song I wrote a few months ago right before everything shutdown. Had this idea one night when I was missing Nicole Hocking, like I am right now. Hope y’all dig this preview of it. Wrote it with Jonathan Singleton and Randy Montana. Hope to see y’all on the TV tonight.” Flash forward to yesterday, and it looks like Combs is finally readying the release of the highly-anticipated track. Taking to Instagram last night, the “Beautiful Crazy” singer would tease a full studio version of “Sleepless in a Hotel Room” along with the caption: “Y’all remember this one? A lot more where it came from.” View this post on Instagram Given the fact that followers of Combs have been begging for the song’s release for a half decade at this point, the comment section quickly became flooded with fans excited for the “Sleepless in a Hotel Room’s” long-awaited studio treatment. “SHUT UP!!! I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE SINCE 2020. I’M SCREAMING” “I’ve waited years for this one” “OMG IT’S HAPPENING” “Been waiting on this one!” “I’VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS SONG” “Needed this yesterday” “No cuz I’ve been begging for this FOR YEARS” Beyond the fact that fans were pumped for the eventual release of the highly-anticipated track, many caught on to the fact that the audio file shown in the Instagram video was #13 of 22 different ones in whatever collection that Combs was pulling from on his phone. Of course, this could mean absolutely nothing, and the collection could consist of nothing more than random outtakes, demos and a plethora of other non-important things. With that being said, however, it seems as if the upcoming record is primed to contain 22 tracks given the fact that Combs himself liked a comment on TikTok from a fan who also pointed out the 22 files before asking if the album has 22 songs. Of course, this is not confirmed, but it makes a lot of sense given the fact Combs has already teased the 14 demos on his “secret” Instagram account, released “Back in the Saddle” along with The Prequel back in October and is now readying the release of “Giving Her Away” this Friday. As of now, Combs’ upcoming album and “Sleepless in a Hotel Room” do not have an official release date. With that being said, it’s becoming more and more apparent by the day that Combs is gearing up for an official album announcement here incredibly soon.
