“Cover Her A**” – Democrat Governor Accuses Kamala Harris Of Telling “Blatant Lies” In Book

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro went off on Kamala Harris, accusing the former presidential candidate of telling “blatant lies” in her memoir, “107 Days.” The Democrat governor claimed what Harris wrote about him in the book was “utter bulls***.” In an interview published in The Atlantic, Shapiro said Harris is “trying to sell books” and “cover her a**.” “I shouldn’t say ‘cover her a**.’ I think that’s not appropriate,” he backtracked, according to Fox News. “She’s trying to sell books. Period,” he said. Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) said former vice president Kamala Harris told “blatant lies” about him in her new book. “She’s trying to sell books and cover her a–,” Shapiro told the Atlantic. https://t.co/KuhITnDmKZ — The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) December 3, 2025 Fox News explained further: During an interview with The Atlantic’s Tim Alberta, Shapiro denied what Harris alleged in her book, “107 Days,” which included discussions of Shapiro and others she vetted to be her running mate. Harris said Shapiro had asked her staff lots of questions, including “how he might arrange to get Pennsylvania artists’ work on loan from the Smithsonian.” She also accused him of wanting to be involved in every decision and said she reminded him, “a vice president is not a co-president.” “She wrote that in her book? That’s complete and utter bull—-,” Shapiro said in response to the description of him in her book. “I can tell you that her accounts are just blatant lies.” “I did ask a bunch of questions,” Shapiro told Alberta. “Wouldn’t you ask questions if someone was talking to you about forming a partnership and working together?” Alberta said he found that both Shapiro’s staff and Harris’ described the meeting similarly. He asked Shapiro if he felt betrayed by Harris. Harris ultimately passed on Shapiro and chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate in the 2024 election. However, Harris revealed in her book that Walz wasn’t her first choice. Harris passed on her top pick, Pete Buttigieg, because she thought the former transportation secretary was “too big of a risk.” Kamala Harris Reveals Tim Walz Was Not Her Preferred Running Mate, First Choice Reportedly Was “Too Big Of A Risk” The Hill has more: Shapiro also went after the Democratic Party, which lost the swing state he oversees to President Trump. The president won Pennsylvania with just more than 50 percent of the vote, while Harris received nearly 49 percent. “Democrats lost ground in some of these communities by failing to show up and failing to treat people with a level of respect that they deserve,” Shapiro told Alberta. “Donald Trump has been a once-in-a-generation political figure who’s managed to connect on a deeper cultural level.” In September, Shapiro jabbed Harris for not talking about former President Biden’s decision to drop out of the race. Shapiro was among the Democrats who questioned Biden’s physical fitness in running for a second term. “I was direct with them,” Shapiro said on sports commentator Stephen A. Smith’s SiriusXM show. “I told them my concerns.” At the time, Shapiro said he had not read “107 Days.”
