BREAKING: $8 Billion? What Investigators Just Found in Minnesota Is UNREAL

The Minnesota fraud scandal could be the biggest our country has ever seen. And, that’s not an exaggeration! Investigators are beginning to unravel the numbers, and they are absolutely staggering. It turns out that Minnesota may have given out a whopping $8 billion in fraudulent pandemic aid. Meanwhile, Gov. Tim Walz — whose watch this whole thing happened under — is refusing to take any responsibility. Instead, he’s blaming Minnesota’s “generous spirit” for fostering crime and says he’d rather deal with massive fraud than end up like red states! This clip from Fox News dove deeper: Backup here, if needed: $8 BILLION IN PANDEMIC FRAUD UNCOVERED IN MINNESOTA… GOV. WALZ PLAYS THE VICTIM Investigators just landed in Minnesota and already the numbers are spiraling. Whistleblowers say the state may have handed out more than $8 billion in fake pandemic aid. That’s billion, with a B. This is officially the biggest pandemic fraud case in the country. Yes, the entire country. And it all happened while Governor Tim Walz was busy running the state …or not. Now that he’s under fire, Walz says he’s paused the programs and hired some auditors. His defense? He’d rather Minnesota not end up “like Oklahoma or Mississippi.” Bold strategy: lose billions, then insult other states. Republicans say Walz and his team basically rolled out a red carpet for fraud. Meanwhile, he’s focused on “happiness” rankings while his state just broke a fraud record. Accountability might not be Tim’s strong suit. The depth of fraud that we’re seeing in Minnesota happened right under Gov. Walz’s nose. Whistleblowers claim they tried to warn him about it, but he brushed off their warnings and did nothing. Whether that was an intentional act of malice or just one of ignorant stupidity remains to be seen. Either way, Gov. Walz is about to face the music. An investigation into Gov. Walz’s role in the giant fraud scandal has been launched by the House Oversight Committee and Treasury Department. CBS News has more details: Walz, who has served as Minnesota’s governor since 2019, told NBC’s “Meet The Press” on Sunday that his state has sought to crack down on fraud. He also pointed to the state’s generosity. “Minnesota is a generous state. Minnesota is a prosperous state, a well-run state. We’re AAA-bond rated,” said the governor and 2024 Democratic vice presidential nominee. “But that attracts criminals. Those people are going to jail. We’re doing everything we can.” Asked this week about the U.S. Treasury’s investigation into claims that tax money may have gone to al Shabaab, Walz said the state welcomes federal help and wants to crack down on fraud, but added: “I don’t think anybody in here really believes their motive and their timing,” referring to the Trump administration and congressional Republicans. Meanwhile, the governor and his administration have faced years of local scrutiny over their handling of fraud, dating back to the Feeding Our Future scheme’s emergence in 2022. Republican officials have long argued the state failed to carry out due diligence and was slow to act in that scheme — though Walz has insisted the state caught the fraud early but was stymied by court battles and asked by the FBI not to cut off payments during its investigation. That scrutiny has resurged in recent weeks. Earlier Wednesday, Republican Rep. James Comer of Kentucky, the chair of the House Oversight Committee, opened an investigation into fraud in Minnesota’s public assistance programs. “The Committee has serious concerns about how you as the Governor, and the Democrat-controlled administration, allowed millions of dollars to be stolen,” Comer said in a letter requesting documents from Walz. “The Committee also has concerns that you and your administration were fully aware of this fraud and chose not to act for fear of political retaliation.” What do you think? Should Gov. Walz be held accountable for the Minnesota fraud scandal?
